This is a little over due, but I am happy to give this some final closure. I'm also happy that the two of my friends that had this idea is finally seeing the final chapter.

Enjoy.

Kotsubo has been quiet the last month or so which kind of entailed that he was shut up for some time. The story with any fish or underwater species is they kept tabs on each other. With the biggest threat out of the way it was such a relief for the mermaids and those on the lower end of the food chain. With the highest sea threat and no reports of sharks enrolled in the staff or student body, every mermaid and other fishy species much smaller could breath in air or water peacefully.

With the heat dying down it came down to what was important, there was a good chance there was a good transition. It could have been one of those things where everyone says their goodbyes and leaves everyone behind. Thankfully, that wasn't the case. It was still interactive, but in a more moderation sense. With everyone slowly building bonds and trust, there was more time to freely do what they had to do. Cook for themselves, study, and at the end of the day, these dorm apartments and everything on the school campus was just crazy. This place was filled with zombies, ghosts, vampires, and more. It's to be expected.

Cory or (FN) the coral monster on campus was at his shoe locker when he noticed that there was a light blue envelope inside. On the top it said his real name.

Hey Honey,

Hope you have been doing okay the last few days. Thought I would send a letter to check in on you. You're a student and well, a guy after all. Joking really. Just missing your company. A meal and some affection is always nice. Wanting some of your comfort. It's nice having a man who appreciates and doesn't just want to stare and touch all day long. Only for you. See if you got a spare half hour or so.

Cory smirked. It's nice that Theo and I don't have to go to club every single day so we can get solid grades and have the time to do what we want on campus to a point. But even so,  an older girl on campus that isn't a slut, isn't crazy, and knows what she's doing.

After the school day was over and it was time for clubs Cory this time showed up. But for a different purpose. Can't put a label on it, but Cory and Tomao were having that little thing they hide in public. That secret relationship that was spicy. Not porking the teacher per say, but something where it was legal but not justified and it would be frowned upon.

He stepped in the door and Tamao was in a casual outfit. A pink blouse and black skirt. Every time she dressed it was borderline not sure if student or staff. Every time. Her young age, excellent skin, young soul giggle, and demeanor would make the majority of people think twice. It was part of her charm and even with devious intentions, it did not take away from her charm at all.

"Hey Maui." Cory walked in.

"Hey Honey. Seat on the couch with me?" She offered.

"I'd love to." He nodded and went over to sit down.

"So how's things?" She began.

"Homework, mid-terms, essays, the usual. Make sure to eat good before you head to bed and sort. It's basic and all."

"I wish some of the girls could do something." She cooed.

"Honestly Maui, you do a lot for Theo and I as-is. School is getting easier, not stressed out about anyone getting eaten, and-" He saw into her eyes. "It's hard to put a grasp on what me and you are but I enjoy it."

She smiled. "Oh I agree. Although I know how I can be great as well as a pain in the tail. I prefer to you as boyfriend behind closed doors."

"The only one that knows for our protection is Theo. In my circle that is. Better off right?"

"True. And I'm grateful. You don't demand or snarl at me either." She winked at you. "Mature and with charm. And, for rock you aren't single minded."

"Never." He watched as she cuffed his face. "Never had this. I like it. It's a firm balance for everything I have ever wanted. This is just so, inspirational."

"That's the word?" She pondered.

"Inspiring to do better. In all honesty, it is really a good amount of pressure being that guardian to all of the fish species on campus. I got a little over my head a while ago. I was tossing and turning in bed and I realized something. The fact that, I really could have died multiple times. Most of it from that guy. Makes me think. But Tamao, Maui, I want to stay and make this work. I don't need to be held in high praise. I don't need special treatment even though the ability to skip is quite nice, but I accept being the guardian of these species. Theo will help me. And until I graduate, this is our territory. All sea species as one."

Tamao smiled. "I'm so glad you accept. And, I'm not too old for you. It truly makes me feel like the lucky one."

"Combination of each?"

"Why don't you say we, cook together some time. We're getting a stove and such built in soon. Maybe some fish recipes and sorts. That is after, you know." Tamao peeled up her skirt.

"Satisfy?" He asked staring at her crotch.

"Yes." Revealing a sexy pair of underwear.

"I can never deny you." He smirked.

"Nor can you never not satisfy me or make me just go crazy. That luscious smirk, your scent, your hands, and you are just a hung young man. You make me go crazy." She licked her lips.

"So I take it we head to the bed in the lounge, clean up afterwards, and then we cook after we drink our water?" (FN) was adding everything up.

"I was hoping so." She giggled.

"You're on. Because I accept being the guardian."

This was a good new chapter for all of the water life on campus. With the kraken forbidden, the mermaids well behaving, and the one that is front and center to take on any problem for the sea creatures up front was all full circle. Its hard being the number one trustee and always being on call, but those who are ready for it sure do have perks. The proper respect too. As long as one takes care of their people. Or, creatures. Ecosystem? Yeah. Something like that. There are some things in this world with a it's complicated or just go with it. But really,

nothing's perfect.

I hope everyone had a few laughs, smiles, and a little good time with this one. Not my best but given the material I had with anime and manga, I think I gave this a good run for its money.

Thanks everyone.
