8 days left untill the end of the vacation

Next day I woke up at about 7am. Breakfast wasn't untill 9, so I had some time to spare. I put on my blue jeans shorts, my favourite blue T-Shirt with a print of a rose on it (It's not girly, if a man is wearing it!!). It as still pretty cold outside, so I decided to put on my typical red hoodie. I got to our living room and sat on the sofa with the tv right in front of it. The hotel room we were in was quite a big one. Our family had to rent two of them, because of how many of us were there. My parents and the two of my youngest siblings were in one room, while I was sharing mine with my younger sister and two younger brothers. We shared one room with two bunkbeds and had one bathroom that was also a toilet. That didn't matter since it was quite big all in all. For a week we also owned a living room with a big sofa and a tv, and a terrace, since we were in the bottom floor.

I turned on the tv and after switching a few channels, I couldn't find anything interesting enough. I turned it off and sighed, feeling defeated. I decided to go for a walk, so I took my backpack and put my sketch book and pencils in it. I wrote a note for my siblings, telling them to wait for me or go wake up our parents. Soon everything was ready, so I left the room and made my way through the hotel. I passed by the empty pool and continued walking down to the beach. There was a small bar with a Hawaiian theme, which didn't make sense of course, but it was open from 6am to 2am, so I took the chance. I sat on one of the chairs by the bar and waited for the bartender to get my order. Soon, a nice girl with long brown hair and a violet flower in her hair came up to me.
"And what will you be having?" She asked politely while drying one of the glasses.
"Lemonade, please," I said and then put my attention to the backpack in my hands. I took out my sketchbook and flipped a few pages. Drawing was my main hobby, so catching me with my head in a drawing was now a casual thing for anyone who knew me. Just as I took a pencil and drew the first line, a glass of yellow liquid was put next to me. And two pieces of paper next to it. I said a quiet thanks and then took a closer look at the papers. One was a receipt and the other was a flyer inviting to a concert.
"Beginners stage, Sunday evening. 8 pm. That's today," I read aloud and then turned the paper. There was a picture of the guy from the day before. He was sitting on a stool and was playing a guitar. Taking into account that he had a microphone, I guessed he was the performer who will be playing in the evening.
"Isn't he the eye candy?" I heard a female voice ask. I lifted my look and recognized the violet girl from before.
"I wouldn't know..." I answered, putting the flyer back down.
"Right. Anyway, I heard him play. He's really great. You should come for the show," she insisted and even winked at me to emphasize her point.
"Is that how you get your costumers?" I asked with a humorous voice and a chuckle. She nodded quite instantly.
"It usually works," she said with a smile. I bit my bottom lip and extended my arm to her.
"Name's Tristan," I said, my voice coming out as confident even thought I REALLY wasn't.
"Spencer," she said and shook my hand. "So, you coming then?" she asked again.
"I just might take you up on the offer," I said.

She nodded and after flashing me another smile, she left to take an order from another costumer. I was about to start drawing again, when I heard the familiar ringtone of Snow by Red hot chilli peppers, coming from my short's pocket.

"Yes?" I said into the phone, waiting for the one on the other side to answer.
"Big bro~~ mom and dad are sleeping~~" I heard my sister Angie's voice whine.
"Well, wake them up. What you calling me for?" I asked a bit frustrated.
"We're hungry. And breakfast will be soon, so you have to hurry anyway!" She kept insisting. I knew at that point, that I had to give in. I nodded to myself and sighed into the phone in my hand.
"I'll be there in a minute," I said defeated. Just as I was about to hang up, I heard something shuffle on the other side of the line and then my youngest brother's voice.
"Tristan~ can you buy me an ice cream? Please~~" he pleaded and I could only chuckle. His biggest obsession really was ice cream.
"Sorry, buddy. No ice cream on an empty stomach," I said while also putting my things back into the backpack.
"But-" he started, but I quickly cut him off.
"No but's. Here's what: If you eat all of the veggies, I'll buy you an ice cream. And then we'll go for a walk. How's that?" I offered a deal to him. I could just imagine him smiling triumphantly.
"It's a deal. See yah then," he said and before I could add anything he hung up. I sighed again and smile to the waitress.
"Here..." I handed her the money and then walked away. I put the phone back in my pocket and returned the same way I came from.
