I wake to the sight of the white ceiling above me, I look to my left to see a sea of blonde hair draping over a pillow, I move closer to her. I wrap my arms around her warm body as I close my eyes to try to fall back asleep. The sunrise shines through the cracks of the blindes, shining into my eyes. I sigh as I slither out of bed, trying not to wake Lou as I find her robe that hangs over a seat. I throw it around me and tip toe out of her room and down the stairs to the kitchen.

I hear mumbling coming from the kitchen followed by a somewhat loud bang.

"Shit" Debbie whispers under her breath.

She turns around to see me walking towards her "sorry honey, did I wake you?" She asks with worrying eyes.

I shake my head "no, I was already awake...can't sleep"

"Nervous?" She asks as she makes her herbal tea.

I sit down at the table, resting my head on one of my knees as my foot sits on the chair "I don't know..." I say hesitantly.

"It's okay to be nervous, I'm always nervous the morning of the job" she says looking back at me.

She walks over to the front door and puts her coat and shoes on "Come on, get your stuff on"

"For what?" I ask confused.

She raises an eyebrow "just trust me, come on" she takes my coat of the hook and throws it to me with a smile on her face. I slip my feet into my shoes as I put my coat on over Lou's robe. We step outside into the coldness, we walk down to the water and sit on some rocks. Not a ripple in the water, not one seagul is squawking. Everything is just calm and quiet.

"When I'm anxious about a job...or life in general, this is what I do in the morning" she tucks her hair behind her ears "so peacful"

I smile as I stare out into the water "it's lovely"

We sit in silence for a couple of minutes, enjoying the view.

"I honestly wouldn't think you would get nervous over these things" I say quietly.

"How so?" She asks.

"You just seem so confident, like no one can touch you"

She laughs "you'll learn it one day, every strong woman does"

"I hope so"

Her arm wraps around my shoulder and she pulls me close "i can tell how worried you are...it'll be okay, I promise"

"I'm sure it will be" I rest my head on her shoulder.

"Shall we go inside? It's getting pretty cold" she laughs.

I agree and we both huddle together as we walk back into the apartment.

"Everyone is still asleep" Debbie whispers "I'm going to go back to bed, I'll see you later sweetie"

"Yeah see you later"

I watch as she makes her way back to her bedroom, I use the bathroom before I head back up to Lou, who i'm sure is still asleep. I was right, her white skin poking out the covers at some parts. I stand for a phew seconds admiring her before climbing back into bed. I sneak back in her arms, my arms and legs wrap around her. My head rests under chin.

I drift in and out of consciousness until our alarm clock starts to ring. Lou let's out a large sigh as she turns over to turn it off, her hair a mess and eyes swollen she looks at me and smiles "goodmorning" she whispers.

"Goodmorning" I whisper back.

Her arms reach above her head as she straches, she pushes the covers off her naked body. I watch every move she makes on the way to the bathroom. A small knock comes from the bedroom door.
