I look down at the corpse in front of the school, my face contorting in disgust and horror. He was always a attention seeker. Though Infront of the crowd.. he somehow seemed.. content.
"That was so horrible, Seniko..." Said my friend, kirie to her friend. I was walking with the two to class.
"That was just- Crazy. He should have never tried to do that." She added on, her brow furrowing.
"Oh, I don't know. I understand how he must've felt." Seniko replied. I glance at her.
"What-?" Kirie asked. I was about to say the same.
"It's nice when other people notice you, Don't you two agree?"
"I don't know... I don't like sticking out.." kirie said, a bit awkwardly.
I shrugged. "I like attention, But I wouldn't go THAT far." I say, butting into the conversation.
"Really? I do." Seniko mused. "Lately I crave it." She adds. I raise a brow. "I WANT to stand out! I love when people look at me!"
"...Too bad I don't know how to get noticed. I don't want to cause a fuss- how can I explain it-? I just want to be seen." She finished.
"Huh...."

Later, I was sitting with Kirie and Shuichi, discussing what is happening in the town.
"A lot of people in kurôzu-chu have been acting strange lately." I say, looking over at Shuichi.
I felt so bad for him. He looked tired and almost ghastly due to his pale features and dark bags under his eyes. It looks like he hasn't slept in days.
"The Guy who jumped from the roof the other day was just an extreme case. Why risk your life trying to get attention?" Shuichi asked, pointing his index finger up.
"I'm starting to understand." He added
"What, Shuichi?" Kirie asked.
"This town is contaminated by the spiral." He said, grimly. I sigh sadly and shake my head sadly. Ever since his parents died he's had a strange grudge against spirals.
"Not again." Kirie groans.
"What does wanting attention have to do with spirals?" I ask.
"Don't you see?! It's about mesmerism. Both have the power to attract people." He exclaimed. I sigh, I reach over and gently grasp his shoulder.
We all sit in silence for a bit.
"...(Y/n), your hair is getting long. You should cut it."
"Shuichi..." I Look him in the eyes
"(Y/n)." He muttered in reply
"When was the last time you slept?"

I sit in my room, brushing out my hair, which feels longer then usual.
"Huh. It feels like it's grown all of a sudden.." I think out loud, before buttoning up my shirt and zipping my the fly of my pants.
"Whatever, I'm sure it's no big deal."

I could feel everyone looking at as I walked with kirie on the school courtyard. I like attention to an extent, but this much was worrying.
"(Y/n)...?" Seniko called.
"Huh-??" I raise my brow.
"What did you do to your hair?" She asked. I look around at my back. My eyes widened.
"What the-?!"
My hair, even longer then before, has twisted and curled itself into spirals. Not curls- actual spirals. I let out a small gasp as everyone looks in awe.
As I stand in front of the mirror in the boys washroom, I run my fingers though my hair, which is now reaching my shoulders. The spirals twist themselves around my fingers.
Where did all these curls come from-? I can't get rid of them!" I exclaim.
