First day

MIKE AND MATT MY BELOVED!!!!

Mike stood facing his mirror for a moment. He felt sick to his stomach. He wasn't ready for high school. He was a nervous wreck. 

" Michael! Let's go. I'm going to be late for work!" His father shouted 

Mike sighed before grabbing his bag and running downstairs. 

The moment Mike stepped out of his car he was surrounded by Noah Puckerman, Finn Hudson, and Dave Karofsky. He was sure he was about to get beat up, he prepared himself. 

" Wheres  your letterman Jacket?" Noah asked as he put his arm over Mike's shoulders making him flinch 

" What?"

" The one coach gave us when we made the team..." Dave began 

" Oh right. It's at home. Why?" 

" How is anyone supposed to know you aren't some loser without it" Finn laughed " Luckily for you we will be around you but remember to bring it tomorrow" 

"It's like the cheerios. They always have their uniform and jackets on. If we don't they are going to think you are some loser " 

" Right." Mike sighed 

As they walked into the school they saw Matt standing by Santana, Quinn, and Brittany  

" Hey Matt" Mike called out 

Matt smiled greeting him then the other players. Noah noticed Santana and gave her a smirk. 

" So Finn, I heard you are this year's quarterback... Pretty cool that they made a freshman the quarterback. Usually always upperclassman" Quinn smiled 

"Uh yeah. It's pretty cool" He smiled back at her 

Mike was caught off guard as Brittany came up next to him and held his hand. He looked down at their hands and then back at her before giving her a look

" Wheres your letterman jacket?" Britanny asked 

" Exactly what I asked him" Noah laughed 

" Didn't bring it" Mike stated 

After the bell rang Mike pulled Brittany aside " Why do you keep saying I'm your boyfriend?" 

" Well, Quinn told us that aside from being cheerios if we want to be on top and avoid getting bullied we need to date football players. That's why Santana is after Matt and Quinn has her eyes on Finn. Since Quinn is co-captain of the Cheerios she wants to be with the quarterback" 

" What's it with freshmen becoming leaders of everything" " But anyways I don't know why not just find someone you actually like? Even if they aren't 'popular' or whatever" Mike suggested 

" Don't tell me you don't want to fit in?" 

" I do but-"

" This is the way. Or do you actually want to go out and talk to other cheerleaders hoping to get a girlfriend that way?"  

" I guess not" Mike shrugged 

" Exactly. This is perfect. Well, I gotta get to math now. See you" Brittany said before kissing his cheek and rushing to class 

Mike sat in Biology next to Quinn Fabray. 

"Hi" 

"I'm going on a date with Finn later tonight." Quinn blurted 

" oh no I wasn't trying to ask you out" 

" oh" 

Both stayed silent for a moment 

" So you a Britanny huh? Heard you two are childhood friends. You two danced together?" She asked

" No. Uh yeah but I don't dance" Mike assured 

"Oh. I was going to say I also dance but" 

"You're in my seat" A high pitched voice called out 

Mike and Quinn looked up to see a girl dressed in long socks, a plaid skirt, a cat sweater, and bangs that almost covered her eyes

"Excuse me?" Quinn scoffed 

" I prefer to sit in the front so I can see better"

" And that's my problem how?" Quinn laughed 

Mike stood up " Go ahead I'll just sit in the back" 

" hm" 

Mike moved all his stuff to the back 

" Hi, Im Rachel. Rachel Berry" 

Quinn gave her a look 

" And you're cheerios captain Quinn Fabray. I know" 

" Can I sit here?" Mike asked a boy who had on a sweater over a button up 

" Sure" his high-pitched voice reassured him " Im Kurt Hummel"

" Mike chang" he smiled before setting his things down 

" You're on the football team correct?" Kurt began 

" Oh yeah" 

" Why don't you have your jacket?" 

"That's the third time someone asked me that. Are those jackets really so important?" 

" I mean in high school yes. If you don't have it people might mistake you for a loser. Reminds me you probably don't want to be seen talking to me" 

Mike shook his head " I'll probably be forced to bring it tomorrow because of the other guys but I don't think it should matter. "

Class ended

" Where you headed for  break?" Mike asked 

" Probably going to eat my snacks in the bathroom" 

"Ew. Why the bathroom"

" That's where I'm the safest" 

Mike rose his eyebrows " Why don't you come sit with me"

Kurt continued walking beside him before seeing the football boys waiting for Mike "That's not the best idea. I'll stick to my plan. I'll see you around" He said before scurrying away 

" Why are you talking to ladyboy" Noah laughed 

" What? " 

" Can't you tell he's a homo" Dave added as he and Finn laughed 

"Guys enough. What did he ever do to you?" Matt defended

" Relax it's just a joke" Finn laughed 

" Whatever" Mike rolled his eyes as he and Matt left the group

" Those guys are complete douchebags" Matt began 

" I know. I do not like them" Mike sighed 

Both Mike and Matt made their way to the bathroom where they found Kurt 

"Hey Kurt my offer still stands" Mike reminded 

" With just us. Not the others" Matt smiled 

Kurt accepted and all three sat by Mike's locker and ate
