Avatar: Tamia's way of life

Attack of the Sky people

The night was starry as usual and Tamia was up counting the stars and making pictures out of every star she saw, her eyes glowed in the night and flickered from purple to white then back to purple. Tamia hung her leg over the edge and started whispering to herself "stars... Stars... Pictures and stars..." Tamia whispered "what ya mumbling over there!" A voice called out and Tamia looked to see Kitty! She was coming towards her until she was right in front of her. "Kitty? What are you doing here!?" Tamia asked "came to see you! I wanted to say goodnight but I think I'll stay a bit" Kitty sat next to Tamia "what ya looking at?" Kitty asked "the stars, they create pictures" Tamia pointed up at the stars.

Kitty looked up at the stars then back at Tamia "you should come over to our place sometime where you won't have to worry about the dangerous Banshees and the Sky people will help! I'm sure!" Kitty said "Sky people?" Tamia snickered "who calls themselves the Sky people?" Tamia began to laugh "their humans but we call them the Sky people, my mother was human..." Kitty replied "I mean I know that their human but like... At least give them a better name like... Ummm... People of outer space or astronauts!" Tamia said "astronauts? What are astronauts?" Kitty asked "their humans who go out into outer space and walked on the moon!" Tamia replied "they actually do that!? That's so cool! I wanna do that!" Kitty smiled "me too but were too young and need special training I guess..." Tamia sounded a bit confused.

Kitty smiled then said she had to go back so she ran off and Tamia was getting up to go to her room when she spotted something, a giant sparkling star in the sky. "Woah" Tamia said as she looked up "Tamia!" Kitty yelled and Tamia looked at her as Kitty came back to her "pack your things!" Kitty yelled "but why?" Tamia replied as Kitty searched for her room then it felt really hot. The forest was being set on fire... Everything was crumbling and the trees were dying... Tamia packed up her stuff in her backpack that her parents made her and Kitty helped too until barely anything was left then they ran out the cavern. Kitty hauled Tamia onto her back and began running across the trees when Tamia looked back at the cavern "my parents!" Tamia cried "they'll be okay! I can't loose you! I already lost my mother and I'm not loosing a kid who I also hold closest to my heart, your more then a friend but family!" Kitty replied "a-alright..." Tamia replied, her eyes turned sapphire blue.

Kitty soon reunited with her family and what Tamia thought was her father yelled at her and asked her why she was out at the middle of the night. "Dad, I couldn't leave Tamia!" Kitty said "who's Tamia!?" Her father asked "you saved Tamia?" Tuk asked "yes, dad... We haven't been going out to collect things like we told you we were or we were but we were also hanging out with Tamia in the most dangerous part of the forest near where those Banshees are foul beast! Me, Lo'ak, Spider, and even Tuk went out to go have fun with her! Learn her ways of living out where the Banshees would kill anyone who dared step foot into their territory! Tamia saved Lo'ak from getting killed by one of these things, she taught us how to fish in Banshee territory, she taught us how to swing on vines, she taught us about how to use toxic arrows! She is not just a friend that I should leave behind to die... She's a family member who we've been seeing for such a long time and I couldn't leave her! I would never leave her!" Kitty explained as Tamia came off her back.

Kitty's parents stared at the human Na'vi, she was nothing like a regular Na'vi but she knew a lot when it came to surviving. "What is she?" Her father asked "she's a human Na'vi and one of the only human Na'vi's that were ever gonna meet" Lo'ak said "dad, let her stay with us, let her become apart of our family just like you did with Kitty!" Tuk said while holding Tamia's hand. The parents looked at each other then back at Tamia and decided to let her stay but they had to run and while running Tamia looked back at where her home used to be then kept running.

Soon after, they finally laid to rest and their mother patted Tamia on the head, she was happy to have her and so was their father even though they rarely knew her. "Hello dear, my name is Ney'tiri and welcome to the Sully family and who are you?" Ney'tiri asked "I'm Tamia Johnson, nice to meet you Ney'tiri and thanks..." Tamia hugged Ney'tiri "Tamia, can you tell us about yourself?" Ney'tiri placed both her hands on Tamia's face and it felt so much like her mothers hands "I-I was born from a father named Ethan the Na'vi and a mother named Tala the human... I lived in the cavern in the mountain, my father taught me how to hunt Banshees and taught me how to collect fish and swim... My parents taught me how to fight, how to respect nature, how to respect Eywa..." Tamia explained "Eywa... You respect Eywa too?" Ney'tiri asked "of course I do! She was the reason my father and mother got together" Tamia said.

Ney'tiri smiled then introduced Tamia to her husband Jake Sully and her other son Neteyam and Tamia felt so good to be here. Tamia soon learned the Sully ways of being Na'vi and it kind of felt different but then days past and Tamia felt like a true Na'vi, this was the way to live! Kitty took her through what was left of the forest, the leaf's rustled softly, and the soft sounds was soothing to Tamia's pointy ears. "Thanks Kitty, it's been the best being with your family" Tamia spoke "no problem! I'd never leave you behind" Kitty smiled "question, I thought you said your mom was human... Is Ney'tiri your mom?" Tamia asked "..... No.... I'm adopted and my mom is trying to wake up from her coma..." Kitty sighed "oh... Sorry... I-I... I didn't realize that you were... Never mind..." Tamia finished "it's okay... Do you wanna go back home? I can show you my real mother!" Kitty quickly turned happy again "sure! I would love to see your real mother, I bet she's pretty" Tamia said.

Kitty giggled, it was nice to have Kitty as a sister even though it wasn't Tamia's true sister... She was an only child or maybe that wasn't true... But anyway, Kitty was taking Tamia back to her family and they had to walk across a mountain edge to get home and Tamia wanted to look over the edge so she did and saw the ground. It was a long way down and the view wasn't exactly good since it was just light brown, hard dirt and ridged edged hills but there was a bright lilac tree and Tamia wanted to touch it. "Tamia? Come on let's go slow poke!" Kitty called out to her "coming!" Tamia replied as she got up but once she did, her foot slipped... The edge broke off and she screamed... "Tamia!" Kitty yelled as she tried to grab Tamia but she was too late...

Tamia saw Kitty at the top of the dirt mountain while falling then it was all black... Tamia laid on the hard ground, blood poured from her body and soaked into the dirt, her face was covered in blood, she had no movement... "Tamia!" Kitty cried, tears fell from her eyes and she couldn't get down there without falling "don't worry! I'll get the others!" Kitty shouted as she ran off but Tamia's finger began to twitch along with her head, she was moving again! Tamia opened her eyes slowly and looked out to see her blood all over the ground and she groaned while looking up. "K-Kitty? Kitty... K-Kitty... Can you h-hear me?" Tamia huffed, she slowly got up and it hurt badly "Kitty... P-please help m-me..." Tamia whispered, she looked up again and saw no one then turned over on her back. "Kitty! Kitty! Kitty, I d-don't know w-where home is! Please!" Tamia cried, she finally got up and limped over to the lilac tree, her nose bled while tears soaked the blood from going dry on her skin.

Tamia smelled the lilacs and tried not to blow blood on the lilacs but she had to pick off a few so she grabbed a few of the lilacs then limped off, she didn't know where Kitty was, and she didn't know where home was either so the only solution she had was to find home herself. (Did Kitty leave me? No... That can't be right... She probably is looking for me or going to get help... I can't lay there though so I'll find home myself) Tamia thought, she walked and blood dripped from her leg and onto the ground until she collapsed on grass...

Someone hovered over Tamia and healed her but also brought her somewhere far from home... Another place, another island, another group of Na'vi...
