THE SOUNDS OF nature all throughout the jungle could be heard, the bright yellow sun shining down on the many humans and the Na'vi all around the much larger planet as the many creatures of the place could be seen underneath the trees. The buzzing of the different types of insects could be heard while they floated above the different types of plants, the Na'vi being seen around and close to their homes.
Only about an hour had gone by since Jake had gone into the pod back at the human base and into his avatar body, and he found himself outside, enjoying the nature while he stood beside a direhorse with Y/n and Neytiri in front of the creature. Their tails swayed back and forth, bare feet touching the dirty ground below but neither of them seemed to care, especialy the females.
Jake had found himself trying to call the direhorse, mistaking the gender until Neytiri told him that the creature was a female, to which he corrected himself. The females stood on either side of the direhorse, calming her in mumbled Na'vi words as Jake soon mounted the creature with slight struggle.
Luckily, he was able to get up and gently grabbed the animal's antennae when Y/n held it a bit, seeing the similar queue at the end. Remembering he had been freaked out when he saw it on his long braid, Jake grabs the long hair, seeing his own queue and let it connect with the direhorse's. This had the creature's eyes widening, letting out a loud neigh while she stumbled around while Neytiri and Y/n stayed on either side, making her stop.
"That is shahaylu. The bond. Feel her." Neytiri instructs, to which Jake closes his eyes.
"Feel her heartbeat. Her breath. Feel her strong legs. You may tell her what to do. Inside." Y/n explains, pointing at her head.
Neytiri steps back with Y/n. "For now, say where to go."
"Forward!" Jake commands, pointing in that direction.
Next thing he knew, the direhorse was moving forward like commanded in a rather fast pace, sprinting that had him letting out a cry of surprise, bumping around on the back of the creature before he was falling off the direhorse and into the mud below. He sighs at the sound of the two females laughing, jogging over and towards the direhorse as mud now laid all over Jake's body and face.
The sounds of hooves padding along the ground and soon in the water had Jake looking over, seeing Tsu'tey and another male Na'vi riding over, splashing the water around. The human man stands up, trying to wipe the mud off while Y/n and Neytiri venture over as Tsu'tey stops in front of Jake, a displeased look on his face.
"You should go away." Tsu'tey tells him.
Jake shakes his head, a smile on his face. "No, you'd miss me. I knew you could speak English."
