I tip-toed to the oh-so-familiar room that I had been to for the past three nights due to nightmares.

I knock on the door, and my best friend, Five, opens the door holding a piece of chalk. Once he sees me, he opens the door wider; no words are spoken as I walk in.

"What's this?" I ask with judgment lacing my voice as I look at the multiple math equations on the chalkboard walls.

"You can't walk in here for the third night in a row and judge what I'm doing." He says this as I sit down on his bed.

I apologize as he makes his way back to the wall were he was writing before and erasing it.

I look around, starting to piece everything together. "Why'd you create a probability map?" I enquire.

"Well, I was trying to see if you'd show up tonight, but you beat me to it." I giggle when he looks back at me with a small glare.

"Just go to sleep, Eight." Then he turns off the lights and climbs over me while I continue giggling.

He looks at me as I almost fall off the bed due to my giggling. Five grabs my waist and pulls me into him before I can fall.

My giggling comes to an abrupt stop as I see how close our faces are.

I swallowed the lump that was preventing me from talking. "Thank you." I manage to get out as we move away from each other, though I almost regret it once the warmth he gave me is gone.

"No problam." He he looks down at his fidgeting fingers lightly flastered.

I let out a breathy chuckle and turned my back to him in an effort to fall asleep.
