I put my hair up into a messy bun and hastily put on my sweatshirt, ready to leave the house. I have to get out of here. I need air, not that it'd help me with my situation- but maybe it'll calm me down a little bit.
As I leave the house I look up to see the vast ocean of stars that are placed above me.
'how beautiful' I thought to myself whilst I admired them in solace.
The weather was perfect. The cool breeze grazed my cheek, leaving me with it's airy touch and putting me into a trance.
I snap out of it and remind myself what I came out here to do.
'Air' I remember.
Well there's plenty of that here. I'll just go for a run. I take my headphones out of my pocket and connect them to my phone. 'Now I'm ready' I slowly start gaining momentum in my legs and start pushing forwards. The next thing I know I'm at this park I've never seen before, sitting on a bench, trying to catch my breath.
I take my headphones out and try to appreciate the scenery. As I'm looking around I see something in the corner of my eye, a person, sitting on the other side of the bench- just staring holes into thin air.
Now that I've gotten a better look at him he's not too bad looking, some people might even consider him to be quite attractive. He has spiky ash blonde hair that looks surprisingly soft from this distance. His eyes are sharp and of a deep red hue. He's wearing a tight fitted black half-sleeve shirt that compliments his toned physique in all the right places, with a pair of grey sweatpants.
Since I'm never gonna see this guy ever again I might as well use this chance to talk to him.
"Hey" I say
"Hm" he moves his head to my direction and stares at me but not the way he was with the air, this was different, his gaze was soft.
"You wanna know a secret ?" I ask
"Mhm" he replies signalling to go ahead. His voice was raspy but addictive. I need to hear more of it.
"I honestly have no idea where I am right now." I confessed
"It's 1am and pitch black out - you just told a stranger you have no clue where you are." He replied, "It's like you want to get murdered"
" you don't really give off the 'i'm going to murder you' vibe" I answered
"Many others would beg to differ" his lips slightly curved upwards forming a faint grin
" besides it's not pitch black, there are plenty of stars out" I shared. "Look, that one is me" I pointed to one of the many distant lights.
"Stars are stupid" he said looking up "they are just flying balls of gas"
"Well I think they are so much more than that!" I defended
"Whatever" he mumbled "you cant just claim a star and say it's you, it doesn't make sense"
"It's pretty " I paused "Like me, so it fits"
He looked over at me, discreetly examining my features 'nahhhh is he checking me out, well to be fair I kinda did set that one up so I'll let it slide'
"Hmm" the air was getting warmer every time he spoke "go home, it's late"
"I can't ! I'm lost. remember?"
"Where do you live" he sighed whilst running his hand through his hair
"Near that one 7/11 shop that sells overpriced american candy, I know the way home from there"
"I'll take you and don't worry, I'm too tired to kidnap you right now"
"Perfect" I smiled and followed after him. "Thank you".
