John B POV; Chapter of Fire and Chosen Family

John B and Ruby lay on a log around the fire listening to music around the campfire with the Pogues. He looked at her like that was the world's center, well it was his world's center. She always was, been like that ever since they were kids. John B always loved her, the moment he remembers falling for her completely they were around thirteen. They were at their spot by the ocean with the willow tree. Ruby had fallen asleep leaning against the swaying Salix. He had been reading poetry to her when he looked up to realize she had fallen asleep. For some reason that moment, with the salty air, crashing waves, and the view of the most beautiful girl he had ever seen all right in front of him, that was it, that was the moment he knew. He did it. He found her; he found his Georgia. Ever since that moment he has undyingly loved her. She loved him back just the same.

Ruby's 'I know I'm truly in love moment' was when she and him had been slow dancing to the song 'Until I found you'. This was before they were anything official. She slowly looked up at him and smiled, and that smile he returned to her, that was better than any 'You're the one' or 'Your special' or 'I Love you'. Two beautiful people that got lucky enough to find each other were connected forever from that night on, even though they were before, those looks, those steps, that song, that changed everything for their very own eternity.

But back to the campfire with Pogues. While everyone was talking and laughing over the music John B heard their song come on. He quietly got up, walked behind everyone over to Ruby and offered her his hand. That's when she realized their song was playing. From behind a rock, they started swaying like the all too familiar willow tree above them in the light wind of spring. The vocals sang "I said I would never fall until I found her, I found you." which was perfectly fitting for the moment. Ruby looked up at John B right as he looked down at her. They shared a kiss as the song ended then all of a sudden there was an odd silence. John B rolled his eyes while Ruby giggled as JJ and Pope came around the corner mocking them. Kiera looked over at Ruby and smiled, Ruby returned the gesture.

The boys walked off back to the campfire as Kie called out, "Hey me and Ruby are gonna take a walk!".
