Walking into the park
The sun is surely shining
Peace and quiet all around
If for at least a little while
In the park
Kids and teens are dancing
to their music
In many moves I don't know or can't
make out
In the park
Bubbles from a bubble machine are created,
big and small
They waft through the air
Butteflies fly through the air, big and small
In the park
Flowers of every color, species, and size are
blooming
Unfurling their petals while they're at it
The bees will follow
They won't be too far behind
In the park
I spy a bench
I sit my belongings down
And take a seat
I sit near the fountain
With a few spare coins in my pocket
I pull out a penny
And flip it, end over end, into the fountain
While quickly making a wish
Another coin flips, end over end, behind me
Making its way into the fountain
I look around
And he smiles at me
He greets me
And he smiles at me
And I thought I'd seen everything in Dark City
At least I did
So far
But I guess I was wrong
At least so far today
At least so far in Dark City
