Prologue

Hi readers, this is my first ever book on Wattpad, so please don't be too harsh. I will try to update it regularly, but I guess we'll see how it goes. I have only got the first two chapters planned out, so I would love to hear your suggestions. Thanks for reading

My name is Lady Lucy Heartfilia and I am the richest Lady in Fiore, possibly the world. No, I'm not a princess if that's what you're thinking, but my dad is considered one of the richest dukes in the world and I do hang around with a lot of royalty; in fact, my best friend is Princess Wendy of Seven.

In any case, as you could probably imagine, many people are incredibly jealous of me and my life, however, as far as I'm concerned, they can have it all. Apart from the thousands of outfits and kilometers of land we own, being the richest Lady in 1808 is not what it's made up to be.

My life consists of hours upon hours of being taught how to be a proper lady and spending my afternoons attending lessons on how to run the family business. Even the balls we have are a drag. Although, there are two things that help me get though the day.

The first thing is our library. I often spend what little free time I have in there, captured by the fairy tales of far of lands and fighting alongside the most valiant of soldiers. Every day I dream of meeting my own true love like in the books. They help me escape the reality of my life, but sadly all stories must come to an end and since my father only updates it once a year, on my birthday, I've already read all 4,298 books at least twice.

My celestial spirits also play a large part in helping me survive. They were originally my mothers, but when just before she passed away, she gave them to me. One day, I will be the strongest celestial wizard in all of Fiore. I will join a guild, make tons of friends and live my own fairy tale; until that day comes, however, I am bound to a life without freedom.
