Skye grew up quickly. After a few months, she could roll. After a few more days, she was crawling. It was a slow crawl but it was crawling all the same. Tanith enjoyed watching it. She would try and grab Skye but she would roll out of the way. We would both laugh and Skye would gurgle.
"Is that what I did." Asked Tanith inbetween laughs.
"Yeah, you rolled over and over until you hit something."
We always took Skye out to the roof before she went to bed. She would crawl over to the edge and look down onto the streets. When she was one year old she would grab her own milk bottle and crawl over to the hand made cot. It wasn't that bad, made from blankets, wood and nails. The wood was made into two X's joined at the middle with another piece of wood andthe blankets were lain on that. They were then nailed into place. It was cosy. Skye was now able to crawl from one end of the building to the other.
"Soon she'll be able to walk." Exclaimed Tanith as she walked in with a basket full with milk, bread and other food.
"Damn right she will, look at her now!" I pointed out. She was pullimg herself up onto a box. I picked her up and put her into her cot. She rolled around and went to sleep.
"Get chaned and to bed." I told Tanith. She went behind a curtain and changed as I swung back to the rafters.
What's going to happen. I thought as I stared out into the night. It didn't take long to get to sleep. A deep one too.
