Her mum and dad brought her up to the rooftop and left her. They slowly crept back down into the house and pretended she was never there. After I thought they'd gone, I swung down and picked her up. She had blue eyes, sky blue in fact.
"I'm gonna call you Skye." I crooned. She started to cry. " Don't worry, Jack'll help you." I strapped her to my back and swung out. I flew across the buildings until the warehouse was in sight. I jumped onto the last building and slowed down. I reached behind me and got Skye. She was asleep so I slowly slid down the pole to the ground of the warehouse. Someone leaped out of the shadows.
"God Tanith, you scared the shit out of me." She didn't hear, she was looking at the baby. I picked her up.
"What is it?" She asked.
"A baby, what you were six years ago when I picked you up from your parents," I handed Skye to her "She's called Skye." and swung up to the rafters. I heard Tanith cuddling up to Skye and fall asleep. I took longer to drop off. I was thinking about what a gypsey had told me. She'd told me, One day, you'll be saved by the sky. Did she mean Skye, or something else. I pulled my top hat over my eyes, folded my arms and fell to sleep.
