The young women wakes up as normal and gets ready for another day at the small home. Waffles for breakfast today. The dark quiet home with only the sound of wind in her ears calming yet lonely. It's been like this for two years now. The bills needed to be paid. The power company already shut off the power. She needed a job, yet no one would take her. She just wants to get out of this misery and maybe find love. All she wanted was to have a love.

After she finishes her waffles she gets what's left of the money she has. 10 dollars. Rae can only sigh at the little money in her hand. But at least it will be enough for food.

She exits out of the small shak she lived in. Only three rooms, bedroom, bathroom, and kitchen/dinning room. No living room or television. I mean even if she had one it wouldn't work due to the lack of power.

As she walked the street she sees a carriage down the rode. As it goes by people bow to the king and queen who where inside. She did the same. She didn't understand why they got to live such a lovely life style and she had to live in a powerless shak.
'no Prince in sight that's weird' Rae thinks as she continues to walk to the supermarket.
'He's always is taking any chance to go out into the town. Probably just busy.'

Bread, and two apples is all she could by. Bread was $8 and if you got two apples it was only $1. The taxes left only 30¢ in her pocket. She really needed a job.

Town girls start to whisper about quitting there jobs.
'why?'
To join the maids at the castle..... A JOB!
She quickly runs to the castle to try and get the job.

Once she reaches the gates she attempt to fix her long dirty brown hair the best she could. One of the guards asked if she's here for the job and she simple shakes her head yes. That exact one leads her to where the prince was sitting.

Prince
A younger women is brought up to me with a guard leading her. She seemed desperately in need of a job. Her clothes had dirt on them. She was messing with her long hair. Dirt on her face that was soon wiped off by her own hand.
'poor girl' Is all I could think of once I saw her. I'll give her the job yet she does need to pass. My parents would never allow her to have the job even if she passed due to their cold twisted hearts.

Rae
'I think the job interview went well. I'll only know tomorrow in a letter. I hope I get the job.'

Once again I walk down the street back home. Looking at the homes with lights shining through the windows.
'Maybe I'll have light shinning through my windows soon'           'No.... I can't get my hopes up.'

She enters the shak once again skipping lunch to only want to sleep. As she walkes to her door which was only a meater away she can't help but look at the family photo. Her old home before she got kicked out. Her late brother and sister, and parents. All standing outside the home. Happy, Not sad just happy. She missed thoughts times. They where taken away by a unknown sickness leaving only Rae to try and survive. A single tear escapes she left eye but is dried off by a sleeve. She continues to walk to her room and plops down on her thin mattress and dosses of into a slumber.
