*Alex* I open the door. There they were. Isabella, Nixie, Finn, Sybil and Ruby. "Let me go!" Ruby yelled, with tears falling from her eyes and her hands tied to a rope behind her back. "Never" Isabella said. "Ruby!" I said. *Ruby's eyes lit up with hope* "Alex help!" Ruby said. *I go to start running toward her* "take one more step and these kids die" Isabella said with an evil smile and pointing a gun a the triplets. "Don't... move... Alex" Ruby said. "Sissy" Jenna said while hugging Daisy. *Isabella unties Ruby's hands from behind her. Ruby runs towards everyone but while she is running Isabella points the gun towards her... and shoots her. Ruby's eyes widened.* "RUBY" I said while running as fast as I could to her. "Sissy is asleep?" I heard Jenna ask Daisy behind me. "Y-yes Jenna, she will be ok" Daisy said while holding back their tears. "Ruby are you ok?" I asked nervously. "I-I" Ruby tried to say but she passed out before she could finish."Let's get her to a hospital. Get in my car Alex" Max said while running toward us. *Isabella grabs Nixie, Sybil and Finn then runs away. *Max carries Ruby to his car and drives to the hospital*

*Max* Alex and I are in the hospital and Ruby is asleep. Or dead. Uhhhhh... I think she is just sleeping. Alex hasn't said anything. He is just looking at the ground silently. *Ruby wakes up and the doctor walks in* "ah yes Ruby, your awake!" The doctor said happily. *Alex look up from the ground and at Ruby* "What happened? Why is there blood on my hand?" Ruby said nervously. "You were shot but it was not a very strong gun so we removed the bullet and you should recover. There is a %45 you will walk again" the doctor said. "Oh. Wait, where are the triplets? Are they at home alone?" Ruby asked. "No, Daisy is looking after them" I said. Ruby looked at me as if she didn't expect me to be here. "I will be back to check on you tomorrow" the doctor said while leaving. "You guys should go home and get some sleep, because you're not gonna get it here. Max when you are tired you get mad easily" Ruby said with a rough voice. It almost sounded like it hurt to talk. "No I don't!" I said angrily. Ruby gave me that look again. "Well sometimes I do" I said. "And that sometimes is right now so you should go home and sleep" she said. "Never. Alex are you good? You have been staring at the floor silently for a long time" I said. He nods. "You tired" I asked. He shook his head. "Bro speak" I said. No response. "Alex" Ruby said. "Yes?" Alex said with a quit voice. *Ruby coughs* "Are you ok?" She asked softly. "If you are" he said. "Well I am so does that mean your ok?" She asked. "Yeah. Just tired" he said then pretended to sleep on me. "Get off" I said. "Make me" he said with a smile. I push Alex off and he pushes me back. Ruby smiles, she apparently thought this was funny. "You are almost seventeen and you still push me when you want me away" Alex said. "Yeah and yet you still always come back" I said. "And I always will" he said. I roll my eyes playfully. "Ruby" he said. "Yes?" She asked. "I thought this would be the Christmas I lost you" he replied while putting his hand on the hospital bed. "No, not for a long time silly" Ruby said while smiling. Alex smiles back while holding Ruby's hand.
