Hermione POV

I sighed in relief when the battle was finally over, I looked around trying to find Harry to make sure he was alright and found him standing in the middle of a group of people as they all started cheering, some were crying and mourning for the losses and it made me think if the wizardry world would ever be the same again, I didn't go over to them since there were so many people around him including the other member of the so-called Golden Trio and I knew deep down that I wouldn't be welcome while he was there

Ever since I told him that we wouldn't work out as a couple he's been making everything between us more difficult, it also doesn't help that his mum Molly is acting like I broke his heart when he's been seen shagging Lavender for the last few months, I know this because when he left Harry and me during the Horcrux hunt he went to her, so I don't understand why he's making a big deal out of this and so I didn't want to add to the tension that is there since I know Harry knows something happened between Ron and me, I just haven't told him since I knew that he wouldn't want to be placed in the middle of his two best friends, so while everyone was busy celebrating the end of the war, I decided to walk towards the shack to move Professor Snape's body and make sure he has a proper burial because he was the true hero of the war and I'm saddened to know he's gone and that future generation wouldn't have the chance to know how truly brilliant he was

I carefully made my way inside while also making sure I wasn't followed, since people's opinion of the snarky potion master isn't good since he was made headmaster of Hogwarts by Voldemort, even if it was all a ploy, I walked over to where I hid his body with a powerful notice-me-not spell and came to a sudden halt because I swear I saw his chest moving, I rubbed my eyes thinking I was imagining it but when it happened again I rushed over "professor" I whispered scared that it wasn't real and then I heard his voice making it feel like my heart was in throat "miss granger" I heard him rasped out breathlessly, I knew I couldn't tell anyone about this and I'm so glad that I started keeping a couple of potions on me for this very reason, though I thought I would be using them on either harry or Ron
I gently moved his head onto my lap so it was easier to pour the potions down his throat and then another thought came to mind {I need to get him away from here before the aurors come searching} I thought determined to get him away, so with that in mind I started talking to him

"Sir, is there anyone you trust that can get you away from here" I questioned softly but firmly and while I was waiting for him to answer I started doing some healing spells on his body and giving him some more of the potions when he finally answered me "Lucius is the only one I trust" he whispered back, I hesitated for a few seconds because while I knew Lucius Malfoy was another spy for the order since Voldemort came back I wasn't sure how to get a hold of him to help, I looked down at the professor only to discover he was staring at me I swallowed before asking "how do I get him here" because if anyone saw my patronus calling for Lucius Malfoy then that would've brought every member of the order here

When he started moving I quickly kept a hold of his head as I watched his hand going inside of his coat and pulling out his wand before I could say anything he quickly conjured his Patronus "Lucius come to the shack.....miss granger is with me" and then it was gone, I stayed quiet because I wasn't sure if he would appreciate me talking to him or if he still hated me...I know it sounds silly of me to be so concerned with someone who has always shown his disdain for me but I understand even if only a little bit, how much being a double spy must have cost him even with our history, I would still be trying to keep him safe no matter what, I was quickly brought out of my thoughts by the sound of footsteps and it was more than one person as well, so I quickly held my wand up just in time to see Lucius and Draco Malfoy come into the room, they both stopped when they noticed my wand -well Bellatrix actually since mine was lost- I watched as they slowly came into the room but I noticed that while Lucius eyes often went in the professor's direction he would immediately look back at me and I swear I saw his eyes search my body
