"Sweetie, are you going to school today?" Arya's mom asked softly, frowning. She watched her daughter dive deeper into her bed, clutching her blanket.
"It's okay if you aren't," Her mom continued, "Please talk to me if anything is wrong."
A muffled 'thanks mom' came from the body under the covers. Her mom cracked a small smile.
"I'm going to work now! I'll cook your favorite when I'm back." Her mom stated, closing the door softly before her footsteps descended down the stairs.
It was Arya's first absent. She couldn't find the energy to even wake up today. She peeked from the covers, staring at the now covered mirror in front of her. She couldn't look at herself.
After that one tweet, more ended up coming out with absurd things and she wanted to just run away.

Arya's phone buzzed every 10 minutes yet she didn't have the heart to look. She felt so weak, so hopeless. Lifting her head to take a peek, it was mostly messages from Heeseung and his friends, none from Saemi.
She sighed, slowly taking her phone to look at their message. Her eyes welled up with tears, good tears this time around.
