CHAPTER 11: HATING YOU

Sebastian's POV

We got out of the motorboat. Again Mama and Tita Agnes are like kids. They jumped and yelled a bit while walking towards the beach. They suck a bit. Whenever Mama and Tita Agnes are together they are more like stray kids rather than of professional people. But what can I do? I love them both. Except his son. Since I saw him earlier I feel mad. Everything about him makes my blood go in its boiling point. And after he bumped onto me earlier at the car, I know it was Mama's fault but still he looks like he was happy that happened.

While walking towards a space in the sand. I kept on noticing the scene. Full of people and mostly kids. Splashing, giggling and having the fun they deserve. It was a great scene to see but it doesn't mean that I like beaches. I'm more favor if Mama tooks us to a bar or something private not here.

Then a kid bumped into me. I dropped what I'm holding. F-fuck! Be careful young one!. I shouted as I pick up the bag that fell.

Hey! Wag mo siyang pagalitan! He didn't mean it!
she muttered.

Why do you always meddle with me? I turned to him. I shouted at him too. I can sense he was embarrassed as he walks and nod his head in front of me. He didn't say a word but I know he was a bit of disappointed about my utterance.

Although I was shocked too. It's more of an automatic thing that can't be controlled once triggered. I'm so sorry Lucas I just can't stop hating you. Besides, I know you feel the same way too.

I placed all the things I've been carrying at the sand. We stopped already in a space. It has an open space again. Shaded by a tree so it's now a bit cool. The Sun was not shining too much but it's hot. Took off my shades and observe the place. I sit on the beach with my slippers as cover as I use my phone to play games.

Agnes kakausapin ko lang yung sa management kung pede bang dito na tayo! You guys wait here!
Mama said happily.

Asige, hindi nalang muna ako mag aayos.
Tita Agnes answered.

I didn't mind them so much but I heard their conversation. I saw Lucas taking pictures of the beach. He is also taking selfies and he looks ridiculously nasty in my eyes.

Few minutes passed, Mama came rushing. She gasped and sit on the sand.

Dito nalang daw tayo!
she said.

Buti naman Tita, hahaha. Bigat ng mga dala natin.
He said softly.

As if dinadala mo yung mga mabibigat!
I answered.

He turned to his side again and didn't say a word. Feels like I've been so bitchy and bad towards him. I don't know today but it feels like I'm gonna bully him today as long as I want.

Mama and Tita Belinda started fixing the mat. Slowly taking out all that was inside the boxes and bags we brought. The food was ample since it's the New Year's day today. Last night I was forced to blow that "torotot"  that mama gave me. I did it so our New Year would be prosperous and not boring according to mama. I missed those times when dad was setting up some fireworks as the countdown starts. The way he light those firecrackers up and how he smiled is the one I missed a lot.

I was still sitting on the sand when a hand showed of with a sandwich. Mad or mad, but still kumain ka na muna!. He said as he handed over the sandwich to me. I didn't say a word and get the sandwich and start eating.

I saw him smiled at me secretly. What's with him? Was he not informed that today I'mma bully him to the bones. It's okay with Tita Agnes and as if it will matter if they started talking nonsense together with my whatchamacallit mother.

I saw my friends coming up. They were waving their hands so I recognized them. They are four in total. All I was expecting was them to be in 5 or 6 but why do they're only four of them?

Ma, those are the friends that I'm taking about while we're on the car earlier.
I said.

Oh are they? Then invite them here. Aalis muna kami ng Tita mo. Sight seeing lang. Hahaha.
She said gleefully.

They stand up and fix themselves. Tita Agnes kissed his dreadful son right before they left. Then my friends came closer.

Mike, Stacey, Chantal and Andrei! Come over here.
I shouted as I waved my hand to instruct them to come over.

Hi Sebby, kayo lang ni Lucas?
Mike asked as we both do fist bump.

No, andito si Mama at mama niya. I answered. Come, kumain muna kayo, there's a lot of food here.

I saw him stand up and get some utensils for them. He accompany them too. I grabbed drinks from my bag and place it on the center of the food.

Hey guys, after this spin the bottle ah! Hapon na din naman. It's fun to play truth or dare again.
Chantal added.

I can't keep on noticing Lucas' silence. He was just using his phone as he smiled when some of my friends talk to him. But I know he feels awkward being the only junior around. Why do I feel like I need to do something to cheer him up?

After eating they started to open the liquor and invited Lucas to play with the spin the bottle. So it's about 6 in the evening and the lights were on. There as we circle and play the game, they chuckle, yell and laughed hardly. Even I couldn't resist to laugh because they're so funny. Until the bottle faces to Lucas and Stacey. She'll ask something for sure. Then Lucas chose truth.

Hey Lucas, how was your experience living in the same roof with our Sebastian? Was it fun?
She asked.

For a bit I thought he'll spill what happened to us there. But good thing he didn't.

It was fun. Besides, Kailangan talaga yun to settle the feud between us.
He said softly.

Hahaha, If I know nagustuhan mo lang na kasama mo'ko e. Parang ayaw mo ngang umuwi dba?
I said frankly.

That's not true. Ba't mo naman naisip yan?
He asked.

My friends started looking at me and him. They seem so confused if we were fighting or not.

Hahaha, I know that you like me so I guess you were enjoying my company. Aminin mo na kase!
I shouted. I really didn't know why did I said that. Again I was shocked letting go off those words. And now I guess he's all full.

Hey, cut it out. That's too much. I'm sorry guys. Alis muna ako.

He turned his way and started walking away from us. He was crying I can see how he wiped tears as he step away from us.

My friends looked at me. As he was walking I realized I did something wrong. I crossed the line this time. Why did I do that?  Without any more words I started walking and followed him.

He ignored every call I made. He just looked at me and turned to his way again.

What did I do? I'm sorry Lucas.
