Chapter 5: The Tournament Begins (mention of sh)

POV Stella:

The tournament was about to begin, Kassia and Cedric were up against each other and I didn't know what to do...

We arrive at the stadium, where the tournament will take place. I sit down on the Hufflepuff benches and Hazel comes to join me.

"Hey Stells, so what happened with Cedric last night? I heard Ron talking about it with him and I kind of got the feeling that something happened.." Says Hazel. Why would Cedric tell someone? I don't even know...

"Um well yes, we um, we um, we..." I say, my cheeks burn a bright red and I have no words to explain the passion of last night.

"Stella...did you and Cedric..." She replies, she looks and me with a stern face, I don't know what to say.

Because we did.

"Um well...yea, yes we did."

"YOU DID?!" Whispers Hazel, but loud enough so that people's heads turn.

"Oh my gosh, shhhh...okay!!" I whisper.

"Okay...okay" Hazel says, trying to calm herself down from the visible shock.

Below us is the stadium, was a large door with rusty bolts on it and banging was heard from the door, then suddenly a sound almost like the roar of a lion but louder. The everyone was curious.

On the other side of the stadium was a normal sized door, in which a human could enter. Suddenly our attention was turned to a voice. Dumbledore's voice.

"Alright everyone, settle down, settle down. This is the first round of the Tri-Wizard Tournament!!!!" Shouts Dumbledore into the crowd.

"WOHOOO" shouts everyone, people whistle and cheer, all anticipating the moment it begins.

"In this round, there will be a creature. A dangerous creature. And the contestants will have to battle it to get a clue for the next round!!! So without further a do...LET THE TRI-WIZARD TOURNAMENT BEGIN!!!!"

Suddenly the whistle blows and the creature is realised from behind the rusted door and hides behind a rock concealing its identity, then the other door, from the other side of the stadium opens. Cedric exits, wand in hand.

He looked so fine.

The creature reveals itself, a dragon, a huge dragon, with grey scales and huge fangs. It appeared to be guarding something, a flash of gold was hidden beneath it, I am curious and I turn to Hazel and say;

"What do you think the dragon is guarding?"

"I dunno, probably like a clue to the next tournament, that's what everyone has been saying."
Replies Hazel.

I think to myself and decide to focus on Cedric and the tournament.

Below, Cedric and the dragon are circling each other, Cedric offending, the dragon defending. Suddenly Cedric casts a spell and the dragon is taken aback. A whirlpool of fire entraps Cedric but he manages to get out of the way, the whole audience gasps, waiting for the next move.

After a few strikes, the dragon falls back, revealing a golden egg. Cedric holds the egg up and the whole audience cheers.

He's so cute.

After about an hour Kassia and Sven battle their dragons and win the egg.

Me and Hazel head to the common room to celebrate everyone's achievements.

We enter the common room, cheers and music is surrounding us, nearly deafening. Cedric and Kassia are celebrating, friend surround them, they both turn their heads and look at me.

Who the hell do I go to?

Suddenly someone grabs my hand and I am taken over to Cedric.

"Stella, come and look at Cedric's egg! It's so cool! What do you think it does?" Shouts Hazel, her voice is nearly inaudible over the music and voices.

I tune out what Hazel says and I glance at Cedric, he's surrounded by his friends and girls. He glances back at me, his smile vanishes and we lock eyes, I can't tell if he's doing it out of hate or love.

"I'm ok Hazel, I'm just gonna go to the bathroom." I reply. Hazel looks around and runs over to her other friends as I walk away to the bathroom.

I open the door, the lights turn on and I walk to the into the cubicle, lock the door and sit down with my elbows on my thighs. I sigh and my fingers dig into the palms of my hands almost drawing blood.

I close my eyes, I so badly want to figure everything out, but I can't stop thinking about Cedric.

I flush the toilet and walk out, and Cedric is standing there, holding the golden egg.

"Hey, I'm having a look at this egg thing, I have no idea what it does, whenever I open it, it lets out a scream." He says.

"Um, well why don't you put it underwater, I saw that Sven, the other guy do that." I stare at him, his jawline, his hair,

He turns me on.

"Okay...?" He replies.

There is an awkward silence between us, until he says;

"Um..so have you been to like the prefects bathroom before, cause we could try it out there and see if this water theory really works?" He says.

Oh. my. god did Cedric just ask me on a date?

I think he did.

"Bu...but there's water right here, in the sink?" I say, I'm nervous as fuck.

"Well...the prefects bathroom is...nicer...you know? Be there at 7:00, sharp" He replies.

Yep this is definitely a date.
