(3) At Peace

Percy's POV:

When I woke up my back was killing me and for a brief second I wondered why then I remembered last night I had offered Annabeth to stay for the night because she fainted. I honestly had no clue why I invited her to stay considering why she fainted was completely normal and she was fine. 

While I was sitting in my thoughts I decided to read, yes I said read even though I am dyslexic I like to try to read detective books based on true murder cases and many other things. Any way while I was trying to read which I have gotten a lot better at with years of practice Annabeth sat up from the bed. I smile at her "Hey", I say she seems to have just remembered why she was here and she smiled back, "Morning Percy", she answers back.

I couldn't stop smiling and I didn't get why, Annabeth looks at the boo I was reading and says, "I've read that book it's a good one", I smile at her, "Yeah I've read this three times already, even though I have dyslexia", she looks at me shock clearly on her face, "Your dyslexic too?", I nod.

Annabeth laughs, I laugh with her, "Do you want to get some breakfast?", I ask her, she nods. "Let me get dressed first I tell her", she looks at me "And what am I supposed to wear Seaweed Brain?", I answer her "You can wear one of my shirts and my smallest pair of pants", she smiles as I hand them to her.  I quickly go to get changed. "So Annabeth what are you studying to be?", I ask once she finishes changing. "An architect, one day I'm going to build the greatest monument and make it the way I want to.

"I'm sure it will be amazing, just like you", right after those words came out of my mouth I blushed a deep shade of red realizing what I had just said it her. "I'm sorry! I didn't mea-", I was cut off when Annabeth kissed my cheek. "It's ok Seaweed Brian, it's fine", I smile and say, "Well than Wise Girl let us go eat our breakfast!", Annabeth laughs, "Percy it's twelve in the afternoon, it's more lunch than breakfast". I smile "Well than it's a good thing Bianca put in an all day breakfast place on this ship".

Annabeth smile and walks out the door while I chase after her. 

The walk to the dining room on the boat was quite but I didn't mind since I was with Annabeth but that all ends rather quickly when Luke and Ethan interrupt us. "All alone now Jackson aren't you, no friends to back you up", Luke sneers at me while Ethan is smirking in the background. "He's not alone you jerk", Annabeth speaks up. Luke glares at her "Are wearing Jacksons shirt, is this who you're replacing me with! Jackson the weakling, well it's nice to know you new type.  Get. Him.", Ethan comes towards me grabbing my throat, I push him off and give him a hard punch to the face. 

"Annabeth back up!", I yell at her and does the exact opposite she goes up to Luke and gives him a hard punch to the face he stumbles backwards clutching his face. Once Luke saw the blood you cam towards Annabeth and was about to hit her when I came in between. He ended up hitting me hard in the stomach I stumble back when Annabeth steady's me. I go towards Luke and punch him with my my strength on his jaw. He clenched it while Ethan ran towards me head first slamming into my side making me fall.

I get up quickly pushing Ethan to the ground I yell at "You deserve all the pain in the world you asshole!", I kicked him where the sun don't shine and kicked him in his side, stomach and face. I left him there on the ground turning towards Luke seeing that Annabeth beat me too it she was punching and kicking and yelling. While Luke was curled up on the floor and I think he was even whimpering. 

I go towards Annabeth pulling her arm dragging her away from that area. Once we get away from them I start to laugh, "Are you ok", I ask Annabeth, "Am I ok?!? Percy you should be wondering if you're ok! Your face is covered with your blood! We need to get a first aid kit!", I laugh. "Annabeth thank you for worrying about me but i'm fine. I won't be fine if I don't get any food in me soon though.", Annabeth still ended up dragging me to go find a first aid kit.

After she brings me to her room to treat my wounds I flinched every time she dressed my wounds. "You didn't have to do anything like that for me Percy", I smile at her, "I didn't do any of that because I had to it's because I wanted to, you're now a good friend of mine Annabeth, and I will do anything for a good friend." she smiles and gives me a kiss on the cheek.

The rest of the day went to great, Annabeth and I spent to whole day together we even had dinner together. I knew one thing by the end of the day. I finally feel at peace.
