Katsuki couldn't remember where he last was... at first, he swore to himself that he was still on the battlefield, stuck in a blackened void that he had no sense of direction in.. He recalled glancing in every possible direction, growing frustrated when all he saw was the empty blackness around him... he floated in this space, waiting for something to jolt his body awake.. and when it did? He was almost too thankful... A bucket of ice cold water was dumped onto his face, startling the ash blonde awake, and making him gag as water nearly flooded his lungs from the gasp of air he took.. Once he had managed to fill his lungs with adequate oxygen, Katsuki took a moment to peer around him. He was surprised to find himself laying in a hospital bed, but when he went to move his arms, he realized they couldn't be moved at all..

He was strapped down to the bed, IV bags and other hospital essentials kept close to either side of him.. To say that Katsuki wasn't confused would be an utter lie... from the looks of it, he had been taken from the hospital, knowing that information had him quite aggravated. Who was stupid enough— or angry enough— to take him from the hospital? Were they looking to have him killed? Deciding to focus more on whatever was around him, the ash blonde took in a slow, deep breath to calm his nerves. He remembered Gurē teaching him this trick for the sports festival during their UA days... He was panicking that day... it was their second year at UA, and just like the first year, they had clamped a muzzle around Bakugou's mouth, and set cuffs around his wrists that caged his entire hands behind thick sheets of metal. He hated the feeling the cuffs and muzzle gave him.. it made him gag inside of the muzzle, made him feel like he was back in the grasp of that stupid Sludge Villain's grasp...

Katsuki remembered how quickly his eyes flickered through the faces of the crowd, desperately looking for someone, anyone who had noticed his change in demeanor and was willing to calm him down.. and that's when he saw her... his practical savior... His flickering gaze had managed to graze over the bat quirk student, and once he spotted her, he quickly flicked his gaze back to her. He noticed Gurē was doing something, and tried to focus his panicked, blurring vision on her. It took a few tries, but after a while, he finally noticed what she was doing... From the crowd, Katsuki could see Gurē slowly raising her hands with the movement of her chest, before holding out the number four with her fingers... she then held her hands above her chest, as if she was mimicking the movement of holding her breath, and quickly— the ash blonde realized what she was doing— she was giving him breathing tips from the crowd.

'Gonna have to thank that extra later for this..' he recalled telling himself, as he slowly began to follow her movements... 'Breathe in for four seconds... hold it for six.. breathe out for eight...' He told himself. He followed this movement for a while, and didn't stop doing this trick till his heart had calmed itself down to an adequate bpm (beats per minute). Once he was calm enough, he gave the short female a nod of both satisfaction and thanks, and couldn't help the smirk that appeared under his muzzle when he saw the soft blooming color of red appear on her face. Keeping this trick in mind, Katsuki began to take in a slow breathe for four seconds, reminding himself he had to hold it for six seconds, and then allowed himself to slowly let out that same breathe for eight seconds. As he did this, he allowed himself the opportunity to start looking around the room he was in. Like the void that he had been in earlier, the room was dark.

The so called 'lights' were barely working, casting a dim shadow of light in the two opposite and diagonal corners of the room, keeping the crimson eyed male in a somewhat semi visible darkness. It annoyed the hell out of Katsuki, as he had already been in complete darkness moments ago while he was unconscious— he didn't feel like sitting in a room that was also as dark, if just barely a bit brighter, than the unconscious void he was in earlier. He tried desperately to pull his arms out from the restraints, cursing to himself when he could barely get his hands out. He then decided to try and use his quirk, and almost panicked once again when he noticed that he could barely get a spark to flicker. He quickly snapped his head down at his restrained arms, and tried to get a spark to pop from his hands, and found himself beginning to breathe heavily when his hands could barely spark a small pop. Had someone taken his quirk from him? No.. they couldn't have... that would kill him for sure.. the drop in temperature his body would receive from having his quirk taken would kill him.. that he was certain of...
