First thing in the morning, Tink used her magic on me to help me get ready, putting me in a delicate yellow ball gown.

"Why can't you use your magic to fix everything now?"

"Magic has so many limitations. It can be used to make others happy, but with materialistic objects. For example, Ella went to the ball with a dress and a ride and a driver and all, but I wasn't the one to give her true love. She had to find that herself"

"I kinda get it? Also, why am I so dressed up today?"

"You didn't hear us while we were discussing the plan? Well, you see, you need to spend a lot of time with the beast, you're the only one who can connect to him easily. Before you know it the curse will be released naturally. Just believe me on this one"

I gulped and nodded, I've dealt with much worse than this.

"Oh, can you go to the forest and help this girl I met with...Philippe? Oh, that reminds me, what happened to the lost princess-"

Tink let out a frustrated groan and stomped off to a corner, muttering about how could she have forgotten her and should have gotten to her first and such.

"But wait, the dress?" I watched as Tink stopped and blushed.

"Maybe it'll make him like you more? See you as more appealing? Better to try it out. Also, when you hang out with him, make sure you have it in his mind that hanging out with you will release the curse for him"

I thought for a while and finally nodded to her, but by then she had poofed out, leaving me, my father and Ella in the castle to fend for ourselves.

.....

"Hey", I spoke with as much false confidence I could. He didn't turn back, just grunted, still playing with his food.

"I guess I'll just sit here", pulling out a chair for myself.

My dad and Ella supposedly weren't awake yet, but I could easily see them watching us though the crack in the doorway. This felt so wrong and I urged myself to keep from leaving the table.

"So, how was your day"

"I'm a beast"

How should I respond? Oh no, I totally didn't know that? Do I just keep quiet and bring something else up? What should I-

"So what?" Ella came in, saving me.

"Being a beast doesn't matter, you still have feelings all the same"

"But my feelings don't matter to anyone, there's no point saying them"

"It obviously mattered to her, she did ask"

"Common courtesy"

"At least she was trying!" she spoke in sudden rage, the beast stood up immediately. I stood up too. as to walk towards Ella, but she indicated that I should stay where I was.

"No one speaks to me that way in my household. To your room. No food for you"

"But", I tried to defend her but she already was storming off.

"I'm no longer hungry", the beast muttered to himself and walked to his room, leaving me standing by myself.

I sat down and started to panic, what would I do now? I needed to find a way out of this mess, but...

My thoughts stopped as the doorbell rang, and I got up to get it. Outside was a sweaty, dirty young man with brown hair, painting with hands on his knees. I opened my mouth to speak but he lifted his finger up to stop me.

"Hold on, wait for it, wait for it", he straightened himself up "there"

"Who are you?"

"Flynn Rider, and may I say, did you know I have a thing for brunettes?"
