TW/CW - Talk of blood, injuries, & blood drinking.

-💙-💛-🌈-💛-💙-

Frantic sobs echoed throughout the room. The sobbing was only stopped by hyperventilating breaths. Dream had his ear to the door, concern for his friend who was inside the room rising. He wasn't 100% sure what exactly was happening, but he would be able to handle it.

Trauma response, panic attack, anxiety attack, didn't matter. Dream could take care of it. It was his job after all.

A few good knocks on the door caused the man inside to go silent. Dream gently tapped the door with his knuckles, waiting for a response.

And a response he got, sharp and uncharacteristically aggressive: "GO AWAY!"

Dream whistled at the sudden burst of anger, and opened the door anyway. "Now I know I can't leave you alone now. What's goin- ooh."

The bed in the room had been destroyed, and all of the bedsheets and blankets had been torn off the bed. And in the corner of the room, they were bundled up around the occupant of the room.

"Hey buddy, what's the matter?" Dream said softly, approaching the ball of blankets.

"Stop it! Go away! I'm going to hurt you!"

Dream snorted, "You? Hurt me? Not in a million years." He crouched down by the blankets and began to slowly peel them back.

"Dream," the voice was muffled still, but it was clear that he was sobbing, "Please, don't do this. Just leave me alone."

"We both know I can't do that, B," Dream said, pulling the final blanket away.

Blue had his hands covering his face, knees pulled into his chest. He was shivering and pressed up as far into the corner of the room as he could. He refused to let Dream pry his hands away from his face, shaking his head in response.

"Let me see you. There's nothing that you could've done to scare me away."

And that was enough to convince him. When Dream pulled his hands into his lap, he didn't stop him. He whimpered slightly and squeezed his eyes shut. Not wanting to look Dream in his eyes. His perfect, golden eyes.

"Oh shit? You're all bloody, buddy." Dream said, caressing Blue's cheek. He pulled a scrap of fabric from his back pocket. It was from a project that he was planning on doing, but honestly? He doubted that he would actually end up doing it, and besides, this was more important.

Blue had blood all along the bottom of his face. His cheeks and chin had small droplets of warm, bright red blood. And his mouth was the epicenter. That is where all the blood came from. Which was...odd. Dream took the cloth and wiped around his cheeks and chin, unfazed by the blood.

A small whimper left Blue's bloodstained lips, opening his eyes to see a Dream who was perfectly calm. Dream tapped his lips, and used his finger to open his mouth. When he did so, it revealed a set of fangs, covered in blood as well.

"Well, now would you look at that." Dream muttered, pulling his finger out of Blue's mouth and tossing the bloody cloth into the pile of destroyed blankets.

"So, vampire huh?"

Blue felt tears rising in him again. And this time, he didn't stop them. Cold tears ran down his face, his blue eyes filled with confusion and shame.

"What is wrong with you?!" Dream looked more shocked at the sudden aggression than anything else.

"Why aren't you reacting?! I'm covered in blood, I-I have fangs, I hurt someone! Why aren't you doing anything?!" Blue shouted at him, leaning closer. His hands were gripping some imaginary object, his nails digging into his skin.
