~"Girl you did yo shit wit dis one" my well known customer Keda said looking in the mirror that sat in front of her chair. She had been getting her hair done by me for a while now, we had been well acquainted when I first moved to New York, she really helped me with clientele and got me settled in the unfamiliar surroundings.
"Thank youu poohh I tried" I said smiling as I put up the rest of my supplies. The feedback from my customers was the best part of my job. I had wanted to do hair for years but it was never going to be possible staying in Chicago, once I realized that I made the move I felt was fit to be made.
"Your welcome, how much?" She asked digging through her purse. I wasnt going to charge her and she knew that I wasn't. I haven't charged Keda for none of her hairstyles because if it wasn't for her I wouldn't even be at the place that I am right now so I owe her big time.
"Keda im not charging you anything" I said looking back at her with my hand on my hips. Keda was a very beautiful lady, she had big perky lips, nice grade of curly hair on her head, she had very visible body curves, and her tits sat up at a straight angle. Any man would die to be next to her, but she never got into relationships, she has a boyfriend but it took a whole year for her to even claim him. I never even asked why I didn't feel like it was my place.
She never once asked about my situation or what happened to me and that made me respect her more, knowing everything she did for me was out of the pureness of her heart. She didn't even know a thing about me and she jumped to help me regardless of the fact.
"Sadia you been doing this since you first started yo business, let me pay you" she said looking at me with pleading eyes. Keda is a respected customer so If I make her pay it's like she's paying me for doing something for her, and she didn't ask me to pay her for helping me so its always a big 'NO'.
"No keda im not letting you pay I can't and won't do it" I shook my head before going into the kitchen to grab the broom. I hated my apartment dirty, it made me uncomfortable.
"Ouuu okkk well lets have a girls night, i know you off tomorrow and we can cook and stufff" she said following me into the kitchen smiling. I never called keda my bestfriend but it was well understood.
"Uhmm.....alr we can do it, but we need to grab some groceries ian had time to shop" I said dumping the hair from the dustpan into the trashcan, before connecting it back to the broom and pushing it beside the fridge.
"Okk!" She went back into my hair area helping me put the packs of hair in the trash and put the stuff back in my drawers. We finished up and I slid my feed in some bedroom shoes, before grabbing my purse and keys walking out behind Keda.

"Girl we do not need that, put it back" I laughed as Keda picked up a vibrator waving it around. Keda was very goofy and would always keep a smiling on my face no matter the occasion.
"I know I don't need it I have a man but what about you" she asked shoving my shoulder with her eyebrows perked up as I shook my head. I haven't dated since I was 16, I think It's fine how I got it. To me men are burdens and I need to focus on myself and my business.
"I'm good" I laughed before smiling. I never too funny cared about having a man or being with another person, its very much overrated to me.....
"Mhmm, is that all we need" she said examing the cart. We had a lot of stuff for just one night but knowing us we would most definitely use it all.
"Yea I believe so.....wait no it's not I forgot the tissue" I said moving items in the cart. I made sure to go shopping for house supplies every store trip you could never have too much.
"Well girl hurry up and get it" Keda said before pushing the cart towards the shortest line. I turned around and began speed walking towards the back, it wasn't that crowded but it was a lot of people in here. I walked down the isle trying to find the right brand, I snatched it off the shelf before turning back around.
I couldn't see Keda but I knew she was probably already getting rung up. I kept my pace until I felt a smack. I looked up to see a lightskin man standing in front of me fixing his tux.
"Next time watch where you going" He spoke. His voice was deep, like ocean deep....and he had tats on his face and he wore a chain on his neck that glistened so I couldn't see what it was. I adjusted myself before continuing route, I didn't even know what to say I felt like it was my fault a little. I seen Keda as I rushed to her and laid it on the stripe she had like 3 more items before the tissue.

"I JUST WANT SOMEBODY (body) TO TREAT ME LIKE SOMEBODY (body) ALL YOU GOTTA DO IS LOVE ME FOR ME BABYYYY" me and keda yelled out laughing. We had showered and changed into matching sets. Now We were sittiting on the floor drinking wine and just talking and singing.
"Ouu girl that highnote took the breath outta me" keda said breathing heavy making me laugh. Keda was 19 and had her own clothing line it was very successful with the help of her boyfriend freddy.
"It wasn't even that hard" I laughed looking at her. Me and Keda had alot in common, but at the end of the day we were still polar opposites.
"Yea well Freddy is having a get together at his house tomorrow...wanna come" she asked knowing I didn't. I hated socializing it made me feel obligated to talk to people or be nice and fuzy when on the daily I don't even come in contact with people that aren't clients.
"I dont knoww" I said sipping my wine. I knew I needed to get out the house but it felt so hard to actually do it because I hated leaving my comfort zone.
"Alr I'll goo" I said. She has done so much for me one get together isn't going to hurt anyone. I just hope I can make it through the night.
"Okkk ouuu the cookies" she squealed as she got up to go grab them. We had let them sit in the oven to cook while we sung and drunk. This night was already off to a great start.
