(Final Part)

I awoke the next morning with a crick in my neck and my left arm asleep. I couldn't feel the damned thing, though I could feel my body ache from being in one spot for too long, I felt stiff. I try to blink the sun rays away from my eyes while looking around me. That's when I noticed black hair. The night before comes rushing to mind and I slowly sit up. Tara was still asleep, and still very much naked. The arm that was still around her waist tighten while I lower my head to press a kiss to her temple.

"Wake up sunshine. We gotta hit the road." I whisper. When she doesn't move, I start to pepper kisses along her shoulder and arm. I knew I'd come to love how her skin felt first thing in the morning; soft to the touch while little goosebumps sprung up after each kiss. Her skin still had some of her body spray from the day before lingering on it so I let my nose slide over her bicep as I slowly inhaled her scent.

"You're being weird." She grumbles quietly.

"I'm engraving your scent in my brain, sue me." I retort and press a kiss to her shoulder.

She turns in my arms and wraps hers up under mine so she could hold into my back. Her face pressed into my chest. I chose to keep my jeans and bra on. The rest came off for Tara's benefit. I then notice her sniffing my chest up to my neck. Where I giggle and glance down at her.

"What are you doing?"

"Being weird."

I just snort softly and drop my head to kiss the top of hers. "Come on. There's a nearby truck stop about 5 miles from here. We can grab a shower and then head towards New York."

"Fine....but I want Starbucks after."

"Your wish is my command, darlin.~" I coo softly to which she just bites the top of my left breast before she pulls away to sit up.

~~
I have had plenty of encounters where I needed to use the truck stop to shower when I traveled with my ex, so buying our shower slips was no new thing to me.

"I take it you've never done this before?"

Tara was looking around the large truck stop, looking at everything her eyes could capture before moving onto the next spot. "No, I've never really been outside of Woodsboro long enough to do anything like this."

"Your family didn't go on trips?"

"Not really. Mom became an alcoholic after my dad left so the extent to our trips were to L.A. once every summer. And even then we would just book a hotel for a week and Sam would tend to me while our mom would go off and drink her life away."

"I see."

When Tara spoke of her mother, she didn't seem sad about it. It was more like she was just telling me facts.

"And now?"

Tara turned to face me, a soft look on her face. "Now that Sam and I left, she's been trying to connect with Sam again but Sam told her she needed to stop drinking in order for that to happen."

"Good for Sam," I say with a smile. Tara's hand finds its way into mine before she laces our fingers together and sticks to my side. I noticed that she became a bit more clingy after our night together, which I did not mind at all.

I walked with Tara around the store, letting her check everything out that looked interesting, while we waited for our number to be called. They didn't have a Starbucks in the store so she opted to wait till after we finished showering to grab some on the way out.
