Chapter 28

"You'll get that cookie later" Xiao sighed as I laughed. "Come let's leave the domain, I want to show you something... It's an area I found while looking for someone" I invited him as he looked confused. "You were looking for someone?" Xiao asked and I nodded. We both left the domain and I turned to face him.

"So... there's this guy" I started while we walked but I was interrupted. "A guy? What guy," Xiao asked annoyed which made me laugh. "Don't worryy! He's a boy I met that I befriended but he suddenly poofed! I haven't seen him since" I sighed and held his hand. I teleported us down the beach of Narukami and I continued my rambles.

"His name is Kunikuzushi, he feels like family the moment I saw him. He also looks like me too! Wait no! He looks like mom!" I exclaimed and told him as if I just solved a homicidal case. Xiao laughed at my antics. I kept walking and thought to myself for a bit.

"No... really, he does look like mom... Do you think I had a twin brother?? Just like how Mom and... mom were.. wait that sounds off.. Should I call my biological mom, mother? And Ei would be mom?" I looked at him for answers and he shrugged. "I guess?" Xiao hesitantly replied and I smiled. 'It's nice to see him like this' I thought to myself as I kept walking.

"About that Kunikuzushi, that's impossible Y/n. You're overthinking things, calm down" Xiao sighed as I laughed. "Hahaha! I guess so" I laughed it off. I turned around to face Xiao "Xiao, let's go to that place I was talking about". He hummed and nodded.

I teleported both of us to this area, which I accidentally found. It wasn't on the map as well. I didn't go in last time but I feel much more comfortable this time since I'm with Xiao. It was also a domain looking place but hidden from the naked eye. As I said before I could see things like life forces and I could see a weird majestic looking thing covering the domain.

"What is this?" Xiao asked I shrugged. "I honestly don't know... I stumbled upon it when I was looking for Kuni... I feel at ease when you're here" I smiled at him and held his hand tighter. I was about to walk in when he pulled my hand back

"Isn't this dangerous?" Xiao hesitantly asked as he walked closer to me. "I'm not sure, well.. I hope not" I laughed it off as he sighed. "Let's go in together" He confirmed with me and I nodded. 

The moment we entered the place it was like a sea of clouds... It was beautiful but there was a mechanism up front. Both Xiao and I held eye contact and brought out our weapons. We walked closer to the mechanism and touched it. 

Then suddenly as if the ground broke beneath us, Xiao fell but I stayed up to float. My eyes widened when our hands slipped when he fell through the sea of clouds. I kneeled trying to dig through the clouds which were pointless.

"XIAO!!" I screamed as the clouds Xiao was standing on solidified. I panicked and I flinched when I heard a voice that wasn't Xiao's.

"ISTAROTH? IS THAT YOU?? ARE YOU ALIVE?" A woman's voice called me from behind as I slowly turned around and I saw a beautiful woman. The lady had long brown hair and she looked shocked to see my face.

"YOU'RE NOT ISTAROTH! Who are you?! Answer me!" Her tone changed when she realized I wasn't who she thought I was. "I am someone who accidentally stumbled upon this domain," I explained and quickly stood up. Now that I looked carefully it wasn't a real person but like a holographic person. 

"Accidentally?? Do you think I believe that? You're one of them, are you??!" She angrily accused me as I got confused. "I really did accidentally stumbled upon this place! Where is my friend?? WHERE IS XIAO!?" I angrily shouted back as this time she was confused.

"You don't look like the other shades nor their servants..." She held her chin examining me up and down, completely ignoring me. I clenched my weapon as I pointed it at the holographic thingy. "I won't repeat this again. Where. Is. Xiao." I gritted as she raised a brow.

"Are you stupid?" She mocked and I was pissed. "Haven't you realized? I'm a holographic celeste right now... We're in a call, you idiot" She stuck her tongue out and mocked me again. I was flabbergasted by that information and by the mocking, of course... "Oh about your friend.. He probably got kicked out of the domain just like Makoto before, he's safe.. most probably" She shrugged as if it was some small matter.

I only glared at her and then I swung my spear at her neck but the spear went through her. "What...?" My eyes widened as I stepped back. She sighed and asked "Why did you even call for me? Who even are you and why did you use Istaroth's stone to contact me? You gave me false hope you idiot" She judged me again, looking me up and down.

"Wait.. Istaroth, you know of Istaroth?" I asked as my eyes widened. "Well duh! Didn't you hear me call that name before? If you insist to know, ahem ahem... I'm the most trusted, most loyal, and prettiest attendee." She flicked her hair as she smirked. I excitedly gasped. 

"I'm the daughter!! The daughter of the God of time!!" I cheered again and she looked confused then she suddenly shrieked. "OH MY GOSH! They SUCCESSFULY made an heir?? I'm so proud of those two" She grinned at me. 

"Now it makes sense how you were able to contact me using the celeste stone!" She smiled and I smiled back. "Who were you talking about earlier anyways?" I asked her as she sighed. "The other shades and their ugly ass servants" She rolled her eyes and looked at me as if I were a small doll.

"You're so cute! I can sense Istaroth in you too, maybe that's why I thought you were Istaroth earlier" She started rambling but I interrupted her. "Wait wait... Shades? and uhm what's your name?" I asked and she stopped talking. 

"The shades...? OH, they used to help the primordial one but one of them betrayed the latter and blah blah blah... Istaroth, the only shade left fled to Teyvat but soon passed... AND AND About my namee... The shade's servants normally don't have names but Master Istaroth usually calls me Dara whenever no one's around" She said... and I was just processing the overload of information.

"huh... I'm Raiden Y/n then... Nice to meet you, Dara" I said and it was all I could mutter out.

"Nice to meet you too, our savior"
