I may or may not have an DEVIOUS idea for this one- though, I myself am not mute. I can go nonverbal when overcome by heavy emotions/to many emotions, yet that is not mute.

Seeing as this is Dream angst ya'll can expect: torture, wounds, panic, mutism, angst (duhu), manipulation, and probably more-

Disclaimer: seeing as I, myself, am not mute, I do not know what it feels like to not have the ability to communicate that way. I did do research, though there may be some missing point here. Now let's get this show on the road!!

Narator pov-
Mutism can happen when you experience trauma, amongst other things. This, though not always, is probably selective.

Can mute people make noise? Scream? Laugh? This is an question many people have asked themselves. I did to, before I found out what happened to Dream...

Sam pov-
Quackity had seem to have calmed down after todays session with Dream. He usually isn't this on edge, before he visits, though relationship problems from outside may influence his mood. I haven't gone into the cell for a few weeks, but the dispenser needed to be filled up again. Though I started to procrastinate.

First letting Quackity out.
Than checking the redstone.
It's almost time for dinner! Let's get some.
Grabbing some bandages, the sword was bloody...
Grab some potatoes, as much as possible!

And before I knew it, I had nothing else to do. I started walking towards the main cell. One step, another. I stood in front of the lava. Come on Sam, you are the one in power... yeah! You are the one in power! And you don't do anything wrong!

I let the lava lower, waited for it to be save, and stepped on the bridge. I didn't even look at Dream until I was at the cell itself. We made eye contact, cold shiver through my body. He looked awful, scared, hurt...

Duhu you idiot. He's being tortured, and you let it happen day after day.

A little voice in my head spoke up. I hadn't heard it in a while. I moved closer to Dream, he tried pushing himself back even further into the wall. I stepped over, towards the dispenser, keeping eye contact. He moved over to his chest, lid of the hinges.

I got near the dispenser, opened it, and filled it up. I felt my pockets, check if my stuff was still there when I realized I had bandages and healing potions on me. I looked at Dream, this time the rest of him. Fingers broken and wounds still open. Is Quackity keeping the healing potions for himself or something!?

I don't think that. The voice said. Though you could always ask him. It said, continuing. I turned faced him fully and took of my helmet. "Dream" I couldn't say anything else because I got cut of. "Please... don't hurt... me.", Dreams voice, raspy for sure, said. I stepped closer to him, he backed up. I stood still. Dreams eyes didn't leave me. "I won't. I just have a quick question.", I said.

He, after a view seconds, slowly nodded. "Could you drink this?", I said, holding up the sweet, glowing, pink potion. Dreams eyes widened when he saw it and he started shaking. "If...", he tried to say. "I... if..!", he couldn't say more than just that. That got apparent after a view more tries, than he nodded. Slowly, but he did.

I, slowly, walked over to him, he backed away a bit, but got stopped by the wall and the chest. I crouched and handed him the potion. His hand where shaking and he couldn't open the bottle with his broken, shaking hand. So I did it for him. It took a while before he could even take one sip, but he did, and after almost 30 minutes the bottle was finished.

Dream was almost crying afterwards and the potion didn't seem to take effect. I took the bottle from him and put it back into my inventory, grabbing the bandages at the same time. When I closed my inventory Dream was at the lava, throwing up practically everything he just drank. "Dream!", I yelled. He flinched back, hard, but before he could fall into the lava I caught him. I wanted to pull him back, but I didn't expect him to be as light as he was and practically threw him inside the cell again. I heard a silent scream from Dream. "My apologies, prisoner, but I can't have you escape in anyway.", I said in a monotone voice, though Dream didn't seem to register. I walked closer to him, that fall couldn't have been good for his wounds, and I didn't want to have to stitch them. Dream got up, quickly. To quick, he fell back down again. I caught him, and this time was careful.

"Dream, you've got to calm down, I can't have you pass out on me right now.", I tried to calm him. "I...", Dream tried to speak. Though he collapsed in my arm and started to cry. I, carefully put him down on the, bloody if I may add, floor. I crouched infront of him. "Dream?", I asked. He looked up, chocked, allert, tired, in pain and hatred in his eyes. "I have to check on your wounds. Your body seems to reject healing potions. Did Qua-", I cut myself of. "Did he force them to you everyday.", I asked. Dream, still crying, covering his mouth with one hand, nodded. No wonder his body rejects them.

"Dream? Can you take of you shirt? I need to bandage, maybe even stitch those wounds up...", I trailed of. Dream seemed to stiff up, but quickly relaxed aswel. He, slowly, opened the buttons on his uniform, though there wasn't to much left of it, and tried to take it of, but a wound of his back didn't let him. "I... I...", was all he could say. I shook my head "I'll do it, but you'll have to let me.", I said sternly. Dream, after a bit of time again, nodded. I moved closer, Dream flinched slightly, but let me come closer. I moved the last sleeve down and I kinda wished I hadn't. Probably the, well emotionally, worse wound.

Property of Quackity. :]

It read. It seemed to be a burn scar. Quite big to. I felt sick. Though the wound seemed to be quite healed. I checked his shoulder, the healing potion really did nothing. "Dream, I ehhhh, I have got to stitch this wound up...", I let him know. "My apologies...", I exclaimed.

-

A short while later, the wound was stitched and wrapped up, next to a view others, in bandages. Dream had been quiet after the initial questions. Even when I left. His eyes hadn't left me though, his breathing had sped up quite bad aswel, though I decided to ignore it. I'm going to have to tell Quackity to be a little less extreme from now on...

I stepped of the bridge and let the lava fall again, put on my helmet and went outside. I needed the fresh air after today.
