Randy's POV

After they bring her back to life. They immediately put a breathing mask on her and work to get the shards of glass out of her. Alanna is watching with wide eyes and I wheel away from the windows with her.
"After they are done I'm going in there to see her. You can come with or you don't have to, but I need to be in there with her." I say to her. She nods and the doctors walk out. I quickly wheel is back over and he takes his mask off.
"Now she is doing ok. She is breathing but she does need help with it. Does she have asthma?" He asks. Dean, who hasn't talked until this point wipes the tears from his eyes.
"Yeah she does." He says. The doctor nods and continues explaining how she will be out for a while but we can go in there.
"How long is she going to have to stay?" I ask.
"Until she can go 48 hours without the help of the breathing machine." He says. I nod and Dean pulls out his phone.
"What are you doing?" I ask.
"Calling Hunter." He says. I nod and Jess opens the door for me. I wheel in and Alanna holds onto me.
"You don't have to be in here. I can have Jess-"
"No, I wanna be in here with you..." She says looking at Nichi. Nichi shifts and I wheel next to her taking her hand in mine. It's cold and she's pale.
"God Nich, please be ok." I say kissing her hand. Alanna slides off my lap and stands behind me. It's quiet for a few minutes with the only sound being the beep of Nichi's heart monitor. I end up falling asleep feeling a blanket being set on my back.
"I love you Randy." I hear Alanna's little voice say before I black out.

Alanna's POV

I watch as Randy falls asleep holding Nichi's hand. To be honest she looks harmless... But at the same time I don't want to get hurt. I want Randy to be happy but he looks like he's about to die without her. She moves and her eyes open a little. They are bloodshot and she looks around before her head falls again. Randy sits up 5 minutes later and wheels over to me.
"Wanna come with me or..." He asks patting his lap.
"I'm ok." I say quietly. He nods and kisses my head before rolling out. Once the door closes I slowly make my way toward Nichi. I examine her as she lays there lifeless. She has long brown hair with blonde streaks that look almost natural, freckles on her nose and cheeks, a scar on her cheek, she's not to skinny but not fat either, there's blood on her arms and some staining her hair, and she looks like a short person. I climb on the chair next to her and just look at her. She's really pretty. As I get lost in my thoughts I see her move. I freeze and begin to panic.
"Hey cutie." She says in a raspy voice. Her eyes slowly open and reveal ocean blue eyes.
"How are you?" She asks coughing. She reaches for water but winces. I turn around and grab the water before handing it to her. She shakily opens it and takes off her breathing mask before taking a sip and then quickly putting the mask on.
"Are you ok?" I ask quietly and worriedly. She laughs and nods.
"I'm just fine sweetheart. I thought I scared you." She says looking at me. I may be 7 years old, but I can read people's looks. Hurt, pain, confusion, guilt, and want were floating through her eyes. I go to talk and the door opens revealing Randy using crutches. He smiles when he sees us and he makes his way over to Nichi he sets his crutches down and hugs her.
"You scared the shit out of me." He says into her hair. Nichi hugs back but flinches.
"Are you ok?" He asks.
"Yeah. My ribs are killing me." She says coughing a little. He presses the nurse button and holds her hand.
"You ok Lanna?" He asks me putting me in his lap. I nod and hug him.
"You called?" A nurse says walking in. Randy nods and she walks over.
"She said her ribs were hurting." He says. The nurse nods and grabs her clipboard off of the bed. She examines it and nods.
"She has 2 shattered ribs and a fracture in one. They are going to hurt for quite a while." She says with a sad face. Randy nods and thanks her before she walks out.
"You look tired baby, why don't you get some sleep." He says pushing her hair out if her face. She nods and he kisses her forehead before setting me down and grabbing his crutches and going out of the room. Dean and Jess rush in after we walk out and I watch as Dean starts crying and hugs Nichi. They are closer than any siblings I've ever seen. Closer than me and my brother were. We walk to the cafeteria and he orders me some food.

Dean's POV

We walk in after Alanna and Randy walk out and we see Nichi sitting there closing her eyes. I run over and engulf her in a hug. She yells in pain and I quickly retract.
"I'm so sorry Nichi!" I say holding her hand. Jess puts her hand on my shoulder and rubs it.
"Are you ok?" She asks me. I just look at her with my mouth wide open.
"Am I ok? Nich you're the one who got into a car accident so bad that it made YOUR TRUCK flip. I should be asking you that you idiot." I say laughing. She smiles and starts having a coughing fit. I wait 30 seconds and when it doesn't stop I start to get worried. She coughs again and this time blood flies into the mask.
"JESS GET A NURSE!" I yell grabbing Nichi's hand. Jess runs out of the room and starts yelling for a nurse. A few seconds later doctors and nurses run in and take me out of the room.
"NO PLEASE! NICHI!" I yell trying to get back to her. They push me out and close the curtains. I step back until I hit the wall and I slump down to the floor. I hear footsteps pounding on the ground and see Alanna's little feet and Randy crutching over as fast as he can.
"What happened?!" He yells. I hold my head in my hands and I feel tears streaming down my face.
"She was coughing then she coughed up blood!" I say calming down. We all wait in the hall for an hour and a half. Alanna had fallen asleep on Randy's chest, Jess was pacing in front of us, and I stayed where I was.
"Excuse me." The doctor says coming out of her room with blood on him. We all stand up except for Randy who turns his head. I notice his eyes are red and puffy and I feel sympathy for him.
"Who is she? Is she ok?" I ask nervously. He sighs and nods.
"She's fine. She had internal bleeding and her lungs got punctured making the blood rush into them and make her cough up blood. She fixed the internal bleeding and the puncture in her lungs but she is in stable condition and I'm not allowing anyone in for at least 24 hours." He says. I nod and look at Randy who is holding his head in his hands.
"Thank you." Jess says wrapping her arms around me. He nods and goes back in. I lean against the wall and we all stand in silence.
"I'm not leaving. Can you take Alanna and-" Randy starts only to be cut off my Alanna.
"You are crazy if you think I'm going with these dootyheads." Alanna says crossing her arms over her chest. Randy smiles down at her and kisses her head. She giggles and nods.
"I'm gonna go grab some clothes then I'll be back ok." I say walking away with Jess. He nods and we make our way to my car.
