New beginnings of the forgotten tales. Episode 1 Part 8

Simon sighs as he puts Ben and Mindy down on an air mattress in a tent, Richard places Granny and Granny's grandson in the tent as well on different air mattresses. The group and Simon spoke with the owners of Apple hills ranch a bit ago at the owner's house and the owners assigned everyone a tent they could use to rest. The news was also there but Simon just ignored them since the news people were asking the owners and refugees questions and he rather not deal with the news. The person that helped Simon and Richard from the truck left the box of the bags of sandwiches in the tent before Simon and Richard went into the Tent to put the others down on the mattress and then the person left them be and went off to find their tent. Simon and Richard both leave the tent and close the tent to let the others get to sleep and not disturb them. Richard sighs and walks over to the right side of the tent and sits down by an unlit campfire in a chair. Simon follows Richard and takes his backpack off and sits down in another different chair by the unlit campfire. Simon then opened his bag and takes out the toolbox and sets it to the side of his chair. Simon then looks through his bag to see if he has everything. "Do you think the others are ok?" asks Richard, sounding worried as he looks at Simon. "Others? Do you mean the other refugees, Granny and the kids or?" asks Simon a bit confused by Richard's question as he continues to look through his bag. "Granny and the kids seem fine I'm not worried that they won't be ok, especially with Granny. She usually tries to make a bad situation into a good one and see a positive outlook on things. Ben he smart kid he knows that I'll be here for him if he needs me. What I mean is do you think Mindy's family is ok and that they are looking for her and do you think the others back from our home are safe? I know you and Granny just arrived in Shēng huó Megapolis two years ago but still I'm sure you consider it to be your second home right?" asks Richard calmly but still sounding worried to Simon. Simon blinks and looks up at Richard as he stops looking through his bag. "I'm not sure about Mindy's family. When I helped her I didn't see or hear anyone looking for her in the crowd. Then again there was a lot of commotion going on. As for the people back home, they may be ok. The safest place at the moment is to not be in the city so as long as they got out they should be ok. Also about the city being my second home, I guess it sorta was, even though there were some bad parts I don't think a home would be considered a home without a mix of good and bad." said Simon calmly. "I-... Right. I hope we can find Mindy's family and as much as my ex-wife did hurt me and Ben I do hope she made it out of the city...." said Richard a bit quietly and sadly as he looked into the unlit campfire. "Hopefully and You don't have to answer this at all Richard and frankly it isn't any of my business but why do you still wear that Necklace she gave you? Doesn't it hurt still?" asks Simon calmly. Richard blinks and looks at Simon as he gently holds the end of the necklace in one of his hands. Richard was wearing a silver and gold necklace around his neck and at the end of the necklace a small golden emerald flower was attached to the necklace."Um...Oh.... uhh...How do I put this.....Ok look I miss her still.... Does that sound crazy? After what she did to me and Ben... I can't help but be angry at the matter and the stuff she did but I did love her Simon... I still do... As much as I know that being with her would lead to new pain and issues she was all I had... I thank you and Granny for helping me and letting me know I wasn't alone in the matter and that I should go to court and help me regain everything she stole... and help me get Ben full custody from her as well as get her out of my and my son's life.... I don't know where I was going with that.... It's just hard now and still feels like a nightmare... To know the person I wish to spend the rest of my life with was willing to give it all up and didn't even love me as I loved her.... It doesn't feel real..... And I know it was resolved 5 months ago but it's not easy to move on from that relationship we used to have... As much as that relationship with her was mostly fake for her it wasn't for me and this necklace I wear was the only true honest emotion of love she ever gave me.... I know I should give it away or throw it away, it's just.....hard..." said Richard sadly as he looked down at the campfire again as tears welled up in his eyes. "It's ok and you don't sound crazy Richard. Sorry for bringing the topic up but feel free to talk to Granny and me if you just feel like you need to talk to someone about the situation or just need to distract yourself from the painful memories. You have done well with what you've been through. You even kept Ben safe and he seems pretty happy even though we are in a situation where we were forced to leave our homes." said Simon calmly to Richard. "Thanks, Simon and he does seem happy doesn't he?'' asks Richard with a slight smile but tears dripped down his face. "He does, and he has you to thank for that." Said Simon as he looked back in his bag and looked for something in his bag. Richard slightly laughs. "Nah that's all Granny's doing. As much as she can be more stubborn than a mule, she always found a way to keep Ben off the bad things when things went wrong. I remember when you, Ben, and I were trying to fix the fence outside the shop how we tried for the whole day and still couldn't get the fix that stupid fence. I remember that after we gave up and were not in the best of moods Granny came out and gave us some food and cookies and just sat with us and let us rant about the fence." Said Richard slightly laughing but tears still were dripping down his face. "That fence was the bane of that shop's existence. I still am not happy about how long it took us to fix it..." said Simon a bit annoyed as he remembered that fence. Simon then took out some tissues in a bag from his backpack and gave them to Richard. "Heh yeah it took way too long to fix... about 7 months I believe. Also thanks. I do hope that fence isn't broken if we go back to the city." Said Richard sadly but with a slight smile as he took the tissues and opened the bag, took a tissue out, and wiped his tears away. "I swear if we do go back and it is broken again I'm going to find a way to completely get rid of that fence without causing your shop damage since we couldn't remove it last time because it would have destroyed your shop's entire front entrance." Said Simon a bit annoyed by thinking about the fence breaking again as he goes back to making sure he has everything in his backpack. "I'll keep you to that." Said Richard still with a slight smile as he stopped whipping away his tears. "Wait there. Is that one?" Asks Red sun as he points at the news on the TV to an old man and a woman standing next to the man a bit away in the background of the news reporter talking. Princess Iron fan and Demon bull king look to where Red sun pointed at on the news. As they looked at the Tv there was an old man in the background. The man had this item attached to his belt that looked like a telescope with no stand that has a golden dragon design to it with a green and aqua gem for its eyes and had celestial star markings on the golden dragon. "Yes, it is. Now, which artifact is this?" Asks princess Iron fan as she pulls up another hologram and looks through it to see if any powerful artifacts looked like that one. "Here we are it's called The All Seeing Eye. It's a piece of an artifact that when brought together provides the wielder of that artifact knowledge of anything and everything. It was forged by the Buddha, Aurora Shēnghuó, and the blue-tail star monkeys to give guidance to their apprentices to find the knowledge that they needed at a moment in history. The artifact was made of 5 pieces and of those five pieces only two of those five pieces could change into smaller different pieces. The artifact's pieces all have special and unique abilities but all pieces together can create unlimited power. The Buddha broke the artifact into five pieces and put them in places that no human could ever reach after the demon ruler stole the artifact and used it to get a power that was never meant to be found. Over time people manage to find and take the artifacts and are now in different people's possessions but only pieces and fragments of the original power. If anyone were to gather all five pieces and put them back together they would have access to most information but not all the information since the artifact became limited to what it could share after the Buddha broke it. So this All Seeing Eye could provide us power but if we find all five we can have the power to ask it almost anything we wish and gain knowledge and power of many things if we have it." Said Princess Iron fan as she read through the screen hologram. The Demon bull king and Red son were looking and listening to what Princess Iron fan had to say. "That sounds promising. We should try and look into it more and figure out if this artifact is safe to use for its power." Said Demon bull king calmly. "I couldn't agree more father. I will have my Bull clones find information about this All Seeing Eye." Said Red sun enthusiastically. "Good. While they look into the artifact we can see if any of these other worms have any other artifacts on them that could provide to be useful to us and not in the hands of those filthy worms." Said Demon bull king. Red sun looks at the Bull clones just standing around. "Well, you heard me get going!" Said Red sun at the Bull clones a bit agitated. The Bull clones quickly run off to go find out information about the All Seeing Eye. Mk's chased down the last car fleeing the area as a few other Mk's made sure the skeleton they beat up got into a pile and their broken skeleton's cars stayed where they were and did not disappear like the last ones. The skeleton's car had four skeletons on it and was driving fast away from Mk's. Mk's help each other chase quickly after the skeleton car getting close to reaching and hitting the skeleton car with their staffs but just missing by a bit each time. The skeleton car then turns abruptly left and goes straight to this group of skeleton cars. There were 20 skeleton vehicles that had cages of people on them. The skeleton car Mk's were chasing honks in an odd skeleton clacker honk and the skeleton cars and the 40 skeletons see Mk's and the skeleton car. The skeleton cars then start to shoot at Mk and some skeletons take their weapons and start to charge at Mk's. Mk's quickly and easily dodge being shot at and attack the skeletons while some Mk's block other skeletons' attacks. The skeletons continue to try and attack Mk's as a group, each trying to attack Mk's from different sides. The Mk's work together and manage to dodge the shots with each other's help and manage to overwhelm the skeletons, Mks attack the skeletons, and skeleton cars and take a few of the skeletons out of the fight. The Mk's continue to dodge the shots being shot at them. "Whoa calm down now I just came here to talk. Also, nice try hitting me but I'm over here now. Nope, we are over here. Missed us again. Better luck next time. Ha missed me again." Said Mk's as they continue to dodge and slowly get closer and closer to the skeleton vehicles and the rest of the skeletons. Three Mk's manage to take out the skeleton car that they had been chasing down and the skeletons on the car jump off the car and fall to the ground and stay laying in the ground. The three Mk's then jump away from the broken skeleton car and dodge the shots as they start to follow the other Mk's. A Mk clone back where the other defeated skeletons were picked up the phone he dropped when talking to the others earlier. The gang was still on the call. "He gotta be ok he gotta. He hasn't answered or said anything for a while now. What if something bad happened to him, Tang?" Said Pigsy concerned and worriedly as Pigsy grabbed Tang's shoulders. "I'm sure he is fine, Pigsy. As much as we haven't heard from him, Mk defeated DBK. I'm sure he can handle some skeletons." Said Tang worriedly but tried to give Pigsy some reassurance that Mk was ok as he put down the empty bowl of noodles on the counter. "Yeah, but we helped him last time. He is on his own right now." Said Pigsy still worriedly. "Did Monkey King go with Mk?" Asks Sandy concerned as he was holding more cats and was sitting down on his couch as his other cats surrounded him. "Um I'm not sure I don't think so but I believe I heard Monkey King before Mk stopped talking." Said Mei worriedly. "You did." Said Mk's clone. "Mk!" Shouted the gang as they started to talk over one another. "Ok hold on hold. OH, I'm Mk's clone at the moment Mk is fighting skeletons. Also, Monkey King is here but he isn't getting involved just watching. Anyways, bye." Said Mk's clone as Mk clone just hangs up the phone. Pigsy and the gang blink. "Did He just hang up on us?!" Shouts Pigsy angrily as he lets go of Tang. Mk's clone puts away his phone and spins his staff and goes back to making sure the skeletons stay where they were. Mk's hit the last Skeleton and the last Skeleton vehicle hard and caused to make both the skeleton and the skeleton's vehicles not to move and stay down. The people trapped cheer happily as they hold each other happy to have been saved by Mk. Mk's help free the people from the cages. "Are you alright?" Asks Mk concerned to the groups of people in the cages. "We are ok just a few injuries. Thank you for saving us." Said one of the people as the people slowly got out of the cages. "No problem, I'm glad to help. Um, so are you guys heading towards the safe house after this?" Asks Mk curiously. "Um yeah, that's the plan." Said another person scaredly. The skeletons being trapped by the Mk's clones in the other area where Mk's clone hung up Mk's phone suddenly gets surrounded by blue and purple smoke and the skeletons' cars and skeletons vanish. The Mk's guarding those skeletons get upset and go off to join the other Mk's that were saving people. "Hey, Bud there are no more skeletons around. They seem to have shattered far away from here after you showed up. I don't even see any more skeletons in sight besides the ones you beat up here." Whisper Monkey King to Mk still in a bird form as he lands on Mk's shoulder and his glowing eyes go back to normal. "Oh ok, thanks." Whisper Mk back to Monkey King. "Um if it's ok with you will you be ok if I came back with you guys to the Safehouse and back to Megapolis?" Asks Mk calmly to the group of people. "Of course, we will be more than happy to have you accompany us back. Especially since you did help us." Said another person as they sighed in relief to not be in danger as they travel anymore with Mk's help. The Mk's clones that came from the other place that was guarding the other skeletons show up and join the other Mk's and help get people out of the cages and out of the trucks. "Here." Said Mk clone that had Mk's phone that landed nearby the real Mk and walked up to Mk and handed Mk his phone. "Oh Um thanks I should call the others back I just left when we were talking." Said Mk concerned as he looked at his phone. "No, you don't need to. I already talked to them and told them we were ok." Said Mk's clone. "Oh ok, then thanks." Said Mk not as concerned as he puts his phone away. "No problem." Said Mk's clone, Mk clone then goes off to help the other Mk's get people out of the cages. The skeletons and the skeletons' vehicles get covered in a cloud of green and blue smoke. People start to panic and Mk's quickly try to get as many people off the vehicles and out of the cages as quickly as possible. The skeletons and skeleton vehicles vanished as the people and Mk's that were still on the skeleton vehicles fell to the floor. The smoke vanished and everyone was still there. Mk's put people down on the ground that they were helping get out of the no longer vehicle. "Huh... guess the smoke only makes skeletons disappear?" Said Mk confused. The other Mk's disappear now since we'll they were no longer need to be here. "Looks like it." Whisper Monkey King to Mk. "Are you guys alright?" Asks Mk concerned as he gets up and helps people stand up to their feet. The people start to stand up and help one another get up off the floor. "I'm ok. We are ok. I'm fine. We are fine. Just a bit shook up but we are ok." Said groups of people as people get up and help one another. The group of people was a bit frightened by the situation but they were ok."Ok, that's good um do you guys need to rest or should we start to head to the safe house?" Asks Mk calmly and concernedly to the group. "I'm good we can go now. Let's go now. I rather not stay here. We are fine, we can keep moving. Please can we keep moving?" Said groups of people. "Um ok, whenever you guys are ready we can go to the safe house." Said Mk calmly. After a few minutes, the group of people and Mk left for the safe house. It took a few hours to get to the safe house but they eventually got there. Mk met the owners of the Apple hill ranch and ended up resting by their house. He had to put his staff away of course but he was ok with that. Mk sat on a chair as his stomach growled from hunger. Mk didn't want to get up and try to find some food since he just sit down. "You alright bud?" Asks Monkey King concernedly and quietly as he was still a bird chilling on Mk's shoulder. "Yeah I'm fine... just a bit tired from fighting and my phone just died so I can't call the others. My clone said he explained things so I'm going to assume it's fine." Said Mk with a sigh as he looks at his dead phone and puts his phone away. "It's understandable you have been fighting for a while today. Actually, have you eaten anything today before meeting up with me to train today?" Asks Monkey King quietly to Mk. Mk was quiet for a bit as he thinks. "Um no. I missed my alarm and was almost late to work and ended up skipping breakfast. I delivered the noodles but forgot to eat something before heading to you after I was done delivering noodles." Said Mk as his stomach growls again. "I see. Um, wait here I'll be right back." whispered Monkey King calmly. "Ok, but where are you going?" Asks Mk confused. "Don't worry about it bud just going to grab something quickly and be right back ok?" whispered Monkey King calmly as he opened his wings and got ready to fly off. "Uh ok. Stay safe." Said Mk, still confused. "Will do you stay safe as well bud." whispered Monkey king as he flew up into the air. Mk rests his head on the back of the chair and sighs.
