“Get up!” Mingi scolded as he smacked Yunho at the back of his head, forcing a loud grunt from the taller.

“I’m only gone for 5 minutes, how the hell did you fall asleep so fast?” Mingi felt sorry for smacking too hard on Yunho’s head, so he gently rubbed on the spot he smacked.

Yunho pouted as he allowed Mingi to rub his hair, “We’ve been studying non-stop for 3 hours… I’m hungry and tired…”

Mingi widened his eyes in shock, he snapped his head back to check the clock, only to realize it’s already 7pm. He found it hard to believe how fast time flew whenever he’s with Yunho.

Mingi sighed, “Okay, we’ll end it here.” He got up from his position, “Make sure you go through whatever you learnt today at home.” Earning a determined nod from the taller.

Yunho sighed in relief and collapsed on the couch, “Your couch is so comfortable, can I take a nap here?”

Mingi tilted his head and thought about it for a moment, “Yeah, I’ll whip up something to eat.”

He stood at the spot as he watch the taller wiggle around the couch, trying to find a comfortable spot… like a worm, but to no vail, as Yunho’s too tall, his legs would be dangling from the edge of the couch.

Mingi was a bit annoyed at Yunho’s shifting around, but he was mostly annoyed that Yunho’s taller than him. Because if it were Mingi, he would fit perfectly into the couch.

Mingi grabbed Yunho’s collar and dragged him into his bedroom. He threw the taller onto the bed, “Sleep here.” And walked out. His face reddened out of annoyance.

Yunho, dumbfounded, was suddenly thrown onto the bed, like an abandoned puppy. He quickly looked around the room, “Wai-” But Mingi had already left the room.

The taller was left alone in Mingi’s room. His room is as cozy as the living room. Despite Mingi’s quiet and mature appearance, his room felt the complete opposite of his looks. It was laced with fluffy stuff. Like fluffy carpet, fluffy pillows and fluffy comforter.

Yunho wanted to get up and take a small tour of the room, but he resisted his urges and sat back down. It’s disrespectful to invade people’s privacy without consent.

So, he lied back down and allowed himself to drift into sleep. He couldn’t help but bury his face into Mingi’s pillow and comforter. The smell of Mingi’s pheromone, the smell of baby powder hits his nose constantly, bringing him back to the first day he got to know Mingi. The day he first sensed an omega in heat. And the first day he felt attracted to someone.

~.~.~.~.

“Yun-” Mingi opened the door, only to see a giant boy curled up in his bed. The boy was hugging his pillow so tightly that it might burst.

Mingi chuckled, he approached the sleeping boy, and kneeled down so that he was face-to-face with Yunho, “Are you awake?” He softly whispers.

No response.

Mingi took the chance to study Yunho’s features. His face looked so innocent, even his lips were pouted when he’s sleeping. Mingi giggled. His sight slowly moved down, then landed on his arms. They were buffed as hell. He could see his veins popping from his arms, which made Mingi wonder if that’s how he got the weird strength. He was going to study further when he suddenly felt a harsh tug on his wrist.

“Eyes up here, Min.” Yunho groaned out deeply, “Watchu looking at?” His voice switched instantly into his usual tone, and he put on his usual stupid smile.

Mingi’s heart skipped a beat, he swore he saw Yunho’s eyes glow a deep red, but it was only for a brief second. “No-nothing. I just came to tell you that dinner’s ready.” He quickly shuffled away, running away from the room.

Fuck, the familiar adrenaline rush. He hated it. He knew if he wasn’t able to control it, he would end up doing something stupid. He never felt this way about anyone before, even when he’s with an omega.

Yunho came out minutes later, yawning and rubbing his eyes.

But he was instantly awakened by the smell of food, “What did you make?” He ran to the dining table, seating himself down.

Mingi brought out a pot of kimchi soup, along with some rice and 4 bowls, “I put all the ingredients I have into this, to clear out my fridge.”

Yunho giggled, “Guess we’ll have to go grocery shopping with you tomorrow.”

The mention of grocery shopping made Mingi blush, thinking about the events that happened earlier.

When suddenly, the sound of thunder erupting sent both boys jumping.

“Gosh, why did it rain suddenly…” Mingi quickly fixed his posture. Seeing how Yunho flinched along with him made him smile.

“I like the rain, especially when it’s thundering…” Yunho continued, “It’s so comforting, listening to the rain and thunder.”

Mingi nodded, “I like it too. But sometimes if it gets too loud, it hurts my ears.”

Yunho widened his eyes, “Oh right, puberty elevates our senses right?” Earning a nod from Mingi, “But you’ll get used to it eventually. I even have an earphone ready in case, cause’ it really hurts.” Mingi points at the living room table, indeed, there was an earphone lying on the ground beside the table.

Yunho nodded in understanding. His heart warmed up as he stared at Mingi scooping a ladle of kimchi soup onto Yunho’s bowl. He then scooped a bowl of rice and placed it next to the soup.

Mingi noticed Yunho’s staring, he then moved his bowl closer to Yunho, urging the taller to start eating, “Eat.”

Yunho smiled softly, “It feels nice.”

Mingi tilted his head in confusion, “What is?”

“Eating a hot bowl of soup when it’s raining outside.” Yunho chuckled, “I sound stupid don’t I?”

Unknown to the changes on Mingi’s face, Yunho continued rambling, “It’s been so long since I’ve had homecooked food. After I moved out from home, I’ve always had my meals at convenience stores.”

Yunho stopped for a moment before looking up at Mingi, giddy, “Thanks for the food, Mingi.”

Mingi didn’t know why, but his heart was clenched up in pain. As if something in him clicked, he knew he had to protect this giant puppy.
