Prologue

Elsa Pov
I was walking to our " house" you could say. We aren't in good conditions.

We had a good economic status, we had lovley parents, we were happy. But it all ended when our parents died, well when the Nightmares killed them, Duke Wesealton, one of our parents colleague, kicked us out.

We couldn't take anything except a necklace my mom gave me.

It was a silver snowflake with a blue diamond. I could have sell it but it is the only thing I have left from my parents.

I was only 14 when that happened. Anna was 9 years old. We found a place in the poor part of the city. I found some wood and made a "house".

We were a disaster the first months. We were really skinny, dirty, hungry and had bags under our eyes. We even searched for food in the garbage.

After a while, Anna got sick. I was desperate. I tried to ask in every house I found for help but when they saw us, they closed the door in our faces.

It was winter. I wasn't affected by the cold because
.. I have ice and snow powers. They are really rare.

When the districts were created, powers were really common and everything was in harmony. The Guardians ruled, President Manny, was one of the best men ever known.

But one day.... the Nightmares attacked and killed all the guardians, and after it, everyone with powers. But there is still very few people with them . I am among them, I can't control them. I keep them in secret so the Nightmares don't come to get me.

Anna was getting worse and worse. Her body temperature decreased, and even a hair strand turned white.

I couldn't take it any more and collapsed in the middle of an alley. Crying uncontrollably, ice formed around me.

I was out of control. Then a boy about my age saw us. He had brown hair and brown eyes. He was wide eyed and was gasping. No!
" Please don't tell the nightmares!!! " I pleaded sobbing. He shook his head and came running to us.
" I promise. Come with me." He carried Anna and guided us to a drugstore.

" Stay here." He went in the store and came out with medicines.

" Give her one pill each day for a month." He said smiling.

" Thank you...?" I didn't know his name.

" Frost, Jack Frost." He said smirking.

" I'm Elsa Arrendelle, thank you sooo much." I said hugging him.

He hugged me back and I could see a little blush in his cheeks.

" Well... bye" He then went of running.

When Anna got well,

I found a job in a bakery, with the little I get I buy us food, a little bit of food.

I never saw Jack again but thanks to him we could live, he saved Anna's live. He also gave me hope, hope that everything would get better. I still think about him, what would happen if I saw him again?
