Katsa knew that she had hurt Xavier by her behavior, she didn't want to in the first place, but the murmuring worried her and she hadn't controlled her flow of speech. She looked at the school for a moment before reaching Mrs Weems' office.

"Since you're only here for one or two nights, I put you in Yoko's room. I hope that's okay."

"Yes, it's only for a night or two, as you said." replied Katsa.

"You see, I'm sorry you're not in Nevermore anymore, this family misses you."

"Oh they seem to have recovered very well from my departure." replied Katsa coldly.

"Appearances can be deceptive, Miss Gaines. You don't need a tour of the school, remember the way."

"Yes. Thank you Madam. How is Divina?" said Katsa.

"She's pretty shaken up about what happened, but luckily she's okay."

Katsa nodded at her before going out. She was surprised to find her business bag on the bed, her cell phone rang at the same time: her mother, Special Agent Kristin Gaines.

"Hey, big girl, how are you?"

"Hey, mom, are you okay? How's the investigation going?"

"It's kind of crazy, our unsub's smart, but we're gonna nail him. I'm sorry to keep you in Nevermore, but you'll be safe there. I'm afraid if the unsub watches us he'll know about you. Rémy had to ask a policeman to bring your bag."

"Yes, I have it."

"I'm so sorry, big girl. I asked the principal not to force you to take the classes if you don't want to. It's really just so you're not alone in the hotel. You...you saw your... classmates again?" asked Kristin who heard her daughter's long sigh.

"Yes, Xavier and Divina, not to mention the plague of Bianca. I...maybe made a mistake," Katsa said perfectly imagining her mother's head.

"What then?"

"I used my powers on normis from Jericho. They had trapped one of ours, Divina, I didn't think, I just saw her in danger and I retaliated so I could save her."

There was a little silence before Kristin explained to her that in her eyes it was only self-defense to help Divina, and that is that she would plead if there were any lawsuits against her daughter or the school.

"I love you, mom." Katsa said.

"I love you too, pretty witch, I'll let you know if we finish the investigation faster or not."

Katsa quickly changed into more comfortable clothes before going to Divina and Bianca's room.

"Look who here! What are you doing here?" said Bianca, standing in front of Katsa.

"Get out, I'm not here for you, but to check on Divina."

"Bianca lets her through" Kent stepped in their direction.

The woman in question glare Katsa before moving to the side. Katsa approached her old friend's bed.

"How are you feeling?"

"It's okay. Thank you." Divina said

"No need to thank for that. Anyone would have intervened," said Katsa.

"Yet it was you who came to my rescue. You didn't have to." insisted Divina.

"I wasn't gonna let my old best roommate fall over. Get so rest."

The young mermaid embraced her whom she still considered her friend. She missed their friendship, they had exchanged so many good moments together, such natural laughter... Katsa squeezed Kent's shoulder as she passed and shook Bianca in her way. She reached the school park, remembering where the archery range was. But it was without counting on another person who had the same idea. Without a word, Katsa grabs a bow and brandishes an arrow.

"Your arrow is badly positioned." said Xavier

Katsa looked down on her gun with an eyebrow raised. Xavier gently took her hands to reposition the arrow and stretched it out.

"A little more to the right, your foot," Xavier said, studying her friend's posture.

He came to stand behind her, sticking to her back in order to reposition her correctly, making her foot move and straighten her. He wrapped her hands in his to help her hold the bow and place the hand that would release the arrow. This closeness gave tingling to Katsa who took on her not to let anything appear. But Xavier's hand on her flank drove her crazy, making a big effort and she ignored him and shot at the target in the center.

"Pretty."

"You helped me a lot." Katsa admitted by shooting a second arrow.

"It's like riding a bike, you can't lose it, you could have done it without me."

"Do you always devalue yourself? Think of it as a win. I'm sorry about the way I talked to you earlier. I didn't mean to be hurtful."

"It's forgotten. How long are you staying in Nevermore?" asked Xavier, smiling.

"Just the time of my mother's investigation, then I go back to New York."

"Oh"

"What?" asked Katsa, looking at him astonished.

"I was hoping you'd stay a little longer. I guess you won't keep in touch with us." blew Xavier by shooting an arrow to conceal his disappointment.

"That's not what you think, Xavier. It's not as... easy. But the psychologist advises me not to reconnect with here, which I'm not ready for."

"And you agree with him?"

"I don't know." Katsa said.

"Does he know you're a marginal?"

"Yes, but he's not one. And I'm his first patient of this...type."

"It is not sure that it is adapted to your needs."

"I don't know, but he was the one who was forced on me after the incident," said Katsa, stealing an arrow.

"Hey!" exclaimed Xavier, catching her by the waist lifting his friend from the ground.

He made her turn a little before resting her and kissing her hair, she pulled her tongue before running away. He soon followed her tickling when he managed to catch her. This distraction allowed Wednesday to break into Xavier's room in order to search Rowen's bedroom side for clues about what she had seen. The brunette with long braids will walk through Xavier's office at the same time, many drawings of all kinds; landscapes, crows, students, her and this girl with plum hair: Katsa. Wednesday grabs a portrait of this famous former student, wondering who she could be for the principal to also show herself entousiasm to see her, this touch provoked a violent vision showing this girl at the center of a... battle. Wednesday didn't distinguish the place properly, but she was sure it had something to do with Nevermore. This famous Katsa might not be as innocent as she seems. A second mission awaited Wednesday: to discover the truth about this girl, and her involvement in Nevermore.
