I awaken the next

day. A Sunday. Execution day. I look to both sides of me to see many prisoners still knocked out from sleeping darts. I walk up to the electric bars in front of me, being cautious not to touch, for I did I would be electrified instantly. In front of the gates I see the gallows on a large stage. I see my friends Jay and Lily in the front of the stage. There face are puffy and splotched, they had been crying, defiantly. Gossip spreads quickly in this small town. Of course Jay most likely saw it all happen for I was darted, right in front of her house.

Suddenly I realized the situation I was in. Why did I put Rosaline in danger just to bring me food? I hear a loud screaming noise and I turn in all directions to see everyone looking at me. I hadn’t even noticed it was I screaming. Nothing new had happened to startle me, I just had a sudden fear of where I was and what was happening. I see the innocent eyes of Jay and Lily staring up at me in horror. I can read Lily’s eyes, she was asking if I had a plan. I give her a slight nod and glide to the back of the prison.

I sit titling my fingers. Then I remember the last thing I saw before fainting…. ROSALINE! I look to both sides of me and see no sign of her. Amongst all the prisoners awaiting their death, she isn’t one of them. Maybe since her mom is the mayor, they let her off with a warning. She deserved to live more than I did.

I decide to look for her in the audience. I crawl up to the electric bars and look out. I scan for her but do not see her. The same pattern is completing, hanging a helpless human being, being forced to applaud, then the body being replaced with a new scared soul.

I wonder if I’m the only child being executed this Sunday, until, a young girl, with long blonde hair, dressed in a long robe, being lead to the gallows. She turns back to look around, for the last time. I would know that face anywhere. She flips her head back around as she steps onto the drop platform. The noose is slid around her neck.

“ROSIE!” I scream. Many prisoners lift their heads look at me and drop their heads back to the floor. I slide right through the bars. Being electrocuted with 100 watts of pure energy. Jumping a little with everywhere lift of my leg. But then, I’m to late. The platform drops. I take off running. I have no idea where to. Just away from this horrid place. Guns begin to fire as half of the crowd tries to follow me. I turn to see Lily  being taken down by a pistol shot in the head. Wheres Jay?. I jump into a near by lake deep in the woods to stop the electric flow.I take a minute to feel pity for myself. But I know that wont help.

They have killed all I ever loved. Mom, Dad, My brother, all of my friends, and my soul. But mark my word you will pay, for all of the pain you’ve caused me, every ache, every sorrow, they are going to pay, one way or another.
