INTRODUCTION

This book is a reader pov of Y/N Todd (Jason Todd). It is a Reader x Raven (Rachel Roth) book. The book isn't based off a certain comic/show but is instead inspired by many different comics, shows and even fan-fics that I have read recently. One of my inspirations for this book was DarkotheMapper with their book 'Dark Love which I insist you give a read.

Chapter 1 - The Botched Surgery

Y/N POV

The TV is blaring. Channel one is on, currently Tom and Jerry is playing, one of my favourite things to watch every night. A game of cat and mouse where the mouse somehow always finds a way to escape. In this episode Tom is trying to catch Jerry in a garden of dogs as Jerry hides among them.

My attention then turns to my mother who is reading yesterday's newspaper to catch up on anything she missed due to work. My mother, Sheila Haywood, is a surgeon at Arkham Hospital. Her job can be very tiring and takes up a lot of her time which causes her a lot of stress. Whenever the stress is too hard for her to take she often asks my father to get her stuff in which she then takes. It is usually a pill but can vary to some form of white or blue powder. She drinks a lot too, same as my father.

That brings me onto my father, Willis Todd who currently is in the kitchen getting himself a drink from the fridge. He, well my dad, likes to say that he is in his dream job. He never tells me what his job is but what he tells me is that he works with Uncle Harv. They often go out at night to work, sometimes staying out for days or weeks at work, leaving me and mum at home.

My mother and father often have arguments about my fathers work which I can never understand. Mum often tells me that I am too young to understand and that I should go to bed whenever I ask her about why she is mad at dad.

GNN: "We are interrupting this channel with breaking news in your area" The TV is paused on this screen before changing to the main news channel. "Gang war has broken out in Central Gotham, Red Hood, Gotham criminal-"

My father who is watching the news from behind the sofa gets a phone call.

GNN: "Is believed to be behind the start of the gang war-"

Willis: "Harv? Yes I see it on the news, the guy is a fucking psycho-"

GNN: "-as there have been multiple sightings of Red Hood otherwise known as Jack Oswald White."

Willis: "What do you mean Lea is in Gotham Central? Save her? You're more crazy than he is-"

GNN: "The police have blocked off Gotham Central form 23rd to 25th street-"
