1. Tell us a little about yourself.
Hi, my name is Helena Vogel. I write under this pseudonym because it reminds me of my childhood friends. "Helena" was a nickname my best friend gave me when we were in 5th grade because I was constantly listening to a song called "Helena" by My Chemical Romance.
2. When did you start writing?
My first piece of writing dates back to 2018 when I was 9 years old.
3. What motivated you?
Family, friends...pretty much everything. It is my dream to publish my book after all. And the fact that I had a period in which I'd do nothing but reading book after book made me want to do one by myself more and more.
4. How did you get to know about Wattpad?
Google. I searched for sites where I can make myself heard and where people could read what I wrote.
5. Which genre do you prefer to write and why?
Romance because it's the easiest to write about. Even though there are millions of novels written in this genre, you can always find something that could spark a new love. Or if you like a trope (like I'm addicted to enemies-to-lovers) you can create even more from just that.
6. What led you to writing?
Loneliness and boredom. I know, it sounds depressing but that's the truth. I was lonely and bored at the same time and after trying multiple activities to stop making me feel that way, I said to myself "Why not write something?". Since then, I stuck with it.
7. What is your favorite book that you have written and any other favorite book that you have read?
My favorite book I have written is The Red Rose. I spent a whole year just processing the actions and creating the characters; I had fun doing it. Something I read and amazed me to the point of letting me speechless (I can't choose one just one book, because I love them all :)) were the Mortal Instruments Series by Cassandra Clare.
