What... happened?
Was it a dream?
I don't know.
I can feel my body parts wrapped in something, maybe clothes. Also, I can sense someone sitting beside me. I opened my eyes slowly.
"oh, looks like you're awake." it was the same person who killed the man attacking me. So it wasn't a dream.
"Who are you? And where am I?"
" I'm Giyu Tomioka. I saved you from the demon. This is a hospital. You were asleep for two days." demon? Does that mean the guy that attacked me was a demon. I have never heard about this before except in games and comics.
"you were very injured. Do you remember your name?"
"Yes. I'm Kiyotaka Ayanokoji. But..i don't remember other things. But what do you mean by demon?" It will be good to act like this. He killed that demon without any hesitation, if he gets suspicious of me it might not end well.
"That's alright. Most of the people doesn't know about demons. I have already paid for your treatment. I'll be going now." he said as he started going back. I can't let him go right now. I know nothing about this place and demon he talked about. I need information. He can provide me that.
"Please wait a minute."
"hmm? Do you need something from me?"
"Call you tell more about demons?"
" listen here child, keep yourself out of this matter. Forget about demons. That will be best for you." he said in a harsher tone.
"what if another demon attacks me? I won't be able to save myself." I said as I looked straight into his eyes.
"You don't need to fight them. If you see one then run. You can't do anything against them."
"I may not look like it but I'm strong."
"no matter how strong you are, you can't kill a demon. Demons die by only two ways. First when they are exposed to sun and second when you cut their head by using Nichirin blade like this." he said pointing towards his swords.
"So if I get sword like that I can kill them, right?"
"Only members of Demon slayer corps are given these swords. I'm also a demon slayer."
"I can join demon slayer corps."
"sigh why are you so fixate? What is your goal? What do you want to protect?"
" I want to protect myself." I want freedom, that's all.
He kept looking at me and thinking something for few minutes.
"I have already wasted a lot of time. I have to go on my mission. Take this." he threw a very thin book towards me. "it contains some basic information about demons and demon slayer." he then started going towards exit but then turned back
"We don't protect ourselves. We protect other people from demons. If you are ready to think like that then start preparing. A year from now, there will be a test to recruit demon slayer. Come if you want to join." he went back.
Sigh Holding a conversation sure exhaust you. Now I have at least some information on demons. But what should I do about these floating letters.

Suddenly the door opens. I looked towards it and saw a girl entering.
"Excuse me~. My name is sera. I'm a nurse here~."
