                          Chapter 2- RIP

Jax POV:

(Holds out a flower to the grave of Blake Mills) An old lover, someone too kind to leave the planet, someone who was cursed with an early death and illness. I remember holding his hand while he was still alive, I wasn't there for his final moments but the moments we shared will forever remain permanent. My abuela came over to me from behind to surprise me with a hug. "He's in a better place now, vamos al spa, I'm sure it'll help you relax. " She said. I followed her into her car that was lavished and comfortable. I sat next to her as she starts her playlist of songs, I don't understand that well but am very familiar with. "Sabes que to mama gustaba este canción (You know your mom liked this song)."  My abuela says. I respond with a nod and look out the window, drowning into my thoughts. Abuela sighs and continues driving as we make our way to the spa.

The day went okay. I thanked my grandmother for the lift and gave her a hug after the whole spa treatment. My body feels less stiff, and I've calmed down quite a bit. I go back to my house which is a huge manor full of people. I have a pretty big family so the mansion is not just for show but for actual home use. I enter the house and my cat Boots purrs against my leg. "Hey, Boots." I pick her up and give her a little hug. You can kinda guess why I gave her that name, her fur makes it look like she has boots. Mi primo (my cousin) yells from across the room. "Hey Jax! wanna play basketball?!" Antonio asked. "I don't have time!" I responded while walking up to my room. As I walked upstairs, I overheard Aunt Stephie say "¿Cómo te atreves a preguntar eso cuando aún no has hecho tu tarea?(how dare you ask that when you still haven't done your homework?)" As she yanked his ear. I go finally reached my door and opened it finding my sister sitting by the bayside window. "You really took your time out there, was the spa treatment good?" said Jasmine. I smiled a bit, "Yeah it was a good experience, I feel more like myself." I plopped onto my bed and scrolled through my phone. "Well, that's some improvement, ooh check out this funny video I found!" She shows me her phone and I laugh. "Ok that's pretty tacky, why did I laugh?" I said. "Cos it's funny!" She responded.

My sister more mature than she seems here, more than me really, she focuses on her future more than I do. I want to be worthy of being an older sibling, but I just feel like a ditz. "You know, the play I'll be in will be in a few days." Jasmine points at me, "You better be there!" she playfully threatened. I smiled "Yeah, yeah..." I responded lazily. "Good!" She got up and dusted herself off. "You'll be dazzled by my vocals." She laughed and walked out of the room closing the door behind her. I scroll through YouTube and suddenly I get a text message from an unknown number giving me a coupon for a floral shop. That's very strange, this was most likely a scammer but how did they know I wanted to get flowers? Must be ad revenue. Well, I won't use this coupon, but I do plan to go to this floral shop anyway. I'll change out the old flowers for Blake's tombstone soon once they get too old. Did I give the floral shop my phone number or signed up for a subscription because I don't recall. I question it in my head for a bit and decide to take a nap, listening to my favorite tunes with my earbuds.
