Push him

Don't give in

I couldn't decide whether I should kiss or slap him. It was more of the latter option than the first. There was so much I wanted to tell and ask. I wanted to yell at him, but also embrace him and never let go. It was years of build-up of frustration and curiosity that wanted to escape from me.

I then decided to do something that I probably shouldn't do, I looked him in the eye and then opened my mouth "Xavier why did you-"

Of course, with my luck I didn't get to finish my sentence, "Xavier, hurry the hell up!"

We both looked at each other with wide eyes. He looks almost disappointed that we got interrupted.

Maybe it was a good thing I got interrupted, though, it might've just saved me from some embarrassment. Who knows what we would've done if we didn't get interrupted

I stepped back, "I'm assuming that's Axel screaming out there."

"You assumed right, unfortunately."

He walks to the door, and opens it, as soon as the door opens, Axel walks up to Xavier and starts lecturing him. "What's taking you so long, Xavi? Are you waiting until my 80th birthday to come out," Axel was waving his arms around as he was lecturing Xavier.

Axel continued to lecture Xavier for about 2 minutes. I had no intention of stopping him because honestly, this is the most entertaining thing I've seen all week. From what I remember Axel was always the comedian one in their friendship, and the only one who could annoy his best friend within 2 seconds.

I couldn't hear much of what Axel was saying, but I did catch some words something along the lines of morning coffee, and not respecting his time.

Xavier rolled his eyes, "You know, you're a real pain in my ass, and stop calling me that." He sighed. "We can go now."

"Wait before we go, there's something I have to do," Axel stated

Xavier pinches the bridge of his nose and squeezes his eyes shut, "What now" he grumbled

Axel pushed him out of the way, almost making him fall, and walked up to me with an amused look in his eyes. I have to admit, I'm a little nervous about what Axel is about to do right now, he is known to be a wildcard, and I have a feeling that whatever he does is going to make Xavier mad.

With a playful look in his eyes, he hugged me, well more like tried to squeeze me until I exploded, but not in a you and my best friend broke up so I have to hurt you kind of way, but in a loving missed you kinda way. "I missed you Alessia."

I tried hugging him back in the best way I could. "I missed you too, Axel, but can you please let me go?"

He released me from the bone-crushing hug, "Oh yeah, sorry about that. It's just that we were really close before you and Mr. Evil over there broke up." Xavier rolled his eyes again, at that comment. Axel then started to ramble on for about 5 minutes about what happened in his life, scandals he was in, crazy hookups, and other things that I won't repeat. Anyone who didn't know Axel would most likely be shocked, but everything he said barely phased me.
