this will have spoilers for stardew valley, and some ages are off since i can do what i want 😍

Y/N POV:

I walk out of my room and I start making myself some food, it's early in the morning so Vincent and Sam are still sleeping which means I have free reign of the kitchen and don't have to feed them too. I go to grab eggs and there aren't any, sigh, "MOOOOOM THERE AREN'T ANY EGGS!" I shout across the house, I hear footsteps approaching and a woman with brown hair comes out of her room "shhhh you're gonna wake up your brothers-" she says, tying off her braid "They're gonna wake up anyway-" I say sitting down "yeah but don't make it earlier than it has to be." she says opening the fridge "y/n, the eggs were right here-" she reaches in the back of the fridge and grabs 2 eggs "Are those- still in date?" I question "It's all we have, unless you want VIncent's animal crackers?" she says, I sigh and take the eggs "Alright, fine. I'll take the eggs." Ever since dad left on his military thing moms been struggling for money, it's been difficult on her considering she has 3 kids but I try to help as much as I can considering I'm 16 now. Sam's too focused on his band to really help out, and Vincent is only 8 so he doesn't know what's going on.

I sit down when I hear running, oh yay- the little gremlins awake, and Sam's here too "Hey! There's my little guy!" Jodi smiles and picks Vincent up "Hey Vincent" I say in a baby voice waving to him "I'm not a child." he says sticking his nose up "Eh yeah you are-" Sam say laughing, ruffling his hair. Jodi sets him down "Go sit next to your sister, I'll get your breakfast ready." she says, Vincent runs to me and sits down bouncing around waiting for food. "So y/n" Jodi speaks up "Hm?" I respond taking a bite of my toast "I've arranged for you to marry Elliot." She says "What?" I nearly choke on my food "He's like- 11 years older than me!" I say "I know but we need the money. I spoke with him and he's agreed to it, you wont be forced to spend time with him but you have to at least meet him alright? After today you wont have to see him until the wedding." she explains "but- You cant do that!" I protest "I'm sorry y/n, you're meeting him at noon so you better get ready. You have an hour to mess around and do whatever before we have to go." She says, I get dressed and I go for a walk in the rain

 I can't believe this! She could've at least asked me first, after all I do to help her- I take care of Vincent, I do grocery runs at Pierres, I cook, I clean, yet cause she birthed me she thinks she can just marry me off to some old dude! My thoughts are interrupted when I realize I'm on the ground "oh my gosh, I'm so sorry!" a deep voice says, I look up and see a man with black hair, a bunch of piercings, and a black hoodie, reaching his hand out to me... oh this is the guy my brother always hangs out with "Oh, no it's ok Sebastian! I was just thinking about some stuff I should've payed more attention." I explain  "What are you doing out in the rain?" He asks "I'm just on a walk, you?" I asked "Looking for frogs." He said

We walk on the path for a while, he searches almost every bush for a frog, until I hear a voice coming after me "Y/N!!!!!!" It's sam- I turn around and see the blonde haired man running towards me "ITS ALMOST TIME, MOM SAYS YOU HAVE TO COME HOME NOW!" he shouts, Sebastian looks at me with a blank face, he then waves to Sam and walks off "HEY! LOOK MY BROTHER IS CALLING ME! I GOTTA GO, MEET HERE TOMORROW YEAH?" I say slightly jogging away, he gives a thumbs up  "It's time already?" I say "Yeah, Mom has been lookin everywhere for you." He says walking me back home "I didn't even realize any time had passed." I say looking at the clouds "wait, this isn't the way home?" I say "well no, it'd be stupid to walk you back home just to leave and come out this way right after." He says "You're being taken to Elliot." He says, ugh elliot- 

I reach his shack and am instantly greeted by my brother "Y/N!" Vincent runs up and hugs my leg "hey-" I look up and see a tall dude with long hair down to his back, and a sort of greek god looking face, that must be Elliot. He walks up and greets me "Hello, you're y/n I'm assuming?" he says  "Yeah, you're Elliot?" I respond "The one and only." he gives me a look and starts walking into the shack, he escort me and Vincent in. Jodi is already inside when we get there, her face lights up "Y/n! Vincent! you guys made it in!" she says "Well yeah-" I say rolling my eyes "So, as you know your mother has arranged a marriage between us." Elliot speaks "The terms of which this marriage is built are, you'll live with me, you may use my money at any time, your family gets weekly pay, no children, obviously- You don't have to associate with me here in the castle but when out in public you must accompany me and stay by my side the whole time. Do you agree with these?" he asks, I go to object when Jodi buts in "of course she does! Let's get her fit for her dress shall we?" A woman with blue hair comes and grabs me off to a back room. She puts me on a stand and takes my overalls away "Hi, I'm Emily!" she speaks, I nod and let her measure me. After she gets all the measurements she lets me go and starts gathering material for the dress. 

"Ready to go home kiddo?" Jodi tries to ruffle my hair but I move away "Yeah, I guess so." I put my overalls back on and I start walking back home. "Oh, y/n you have a second meeting before the wedding rehearsal." Jodi says "You said after this I wouldn't have to see him again." I complain "Yes, but that changed. I swear it'll go fine y/n, we just need the money please, do it for your family?" she pleads "Fine." I roll my eyes and speed up my pace

"Hey y/n can you put Vincent to bed for me?" Jodi asks, I fake yawn and shake my head "Can you do it today? I'm still tired from all the walking." I lie "Alright, you head off to bed then. I'll be right there-" she says scooping up the little child in her arms and walking off with him. I go into my room and lay down, jodi comes in and walks over to my bed "goodnight y/n." she kisses the top of my head "Night mom." I pretend to sleep but in reality I'm just looking out the window

I wonder if sebastian will actually be there tomorrow- No, he probably wont be. He barely knows me, he only talked to me cause I'm related to Sam. why would he come back? But at the same time he might- Ugh whatever, I need to sleep anyway so I can get on a good schedule for this next week. I have dress trying, then another meeting with that stupid author, the wedding rehearsal, and then the actual thing.
