The New Student (inotan)

Art Class

"Glad to see you make it!" Mr Uzui spreads his arms like he's signaling someone to give him a hug. "Ms Kocho already told me you're going to be late because she had to hold you for something, so we didn't start yet!"

The three boys take the empty seats next to Muichiro and Zenitsu.

"Alright, for the first day, I want to see how artistic you guys are, so I will pair you up and you will have to draw the person you're paired up with." Mr Uzui gets out a sheet of paper and pencil. He starts pairing the kids.

"Zenitsu, you're with Haruka(not in anime)."
"Genya, you're with Inosuke."
"Tanjiro, you're with Muichiro."

(so on)

"Now, come up to this desk," Mr Uzui points to a table at the side of the classroom, "And get a pad of paper and a pencil. Then get with your partner and draw them!"

"WAHHH why do I have to get some random person? I wish Aoi or Kanao were here so I could as to be partnered with them!" Zenitsu wailed. "Hey Muichiro, wanna trade partners?"

"No thank you, I also do not want to be paired with someone I'm not familiar with."

"UGHHH" Zenitsu covers his face with his hands.

Haruka(Zenitsu's partner) rolls his eyes.

After they're done drawing the other person

"Okay I'm finished how's it going for you Muichiro?" Tanjiro asks.

"I'm almost done, just gotta finish that scar on your head."

"OH HELL NO! That looks NOTHING like me!" Inosuke yells.

"Oh- HAAH yes it does" Genya says through laughter.

"Would you boys shut the hell up?" Mr Uzui squawked across the classroom.

Mr Uzui usually used small forms of foul language, but he was really chill and let most people do what they want. So he was never reported, and if he was, the students would tell the principal that they had heard no such thing in the art classroom.

The boar-like male sat back down, scowling at his partner.

"Alright, finished." Muichiro flips his notebook to face Tanjiro.

"Oh, wow Muichiro, that's - uheh- really good!" Tanjiro awkwardly laughed.

Inosuke looked over to see what Muichiro had drawn. "Woah man, that's trash."

"Uh- ah- n-no it's not!" Tanjiro tries his best to lie, but it's impossible.

"I'm not good at drawing, anyway you're done right? Let me see it."

"Oh- no, it's not that good." Tanjiro turns his paper over.
It was truly beautiful, it was centered perfectly, there are no sloppy lines, and the hair looks soft, and realistic.

Inosuke was still looking at the two, so he can clearly see the pice of art Tanjiro had drawn.

"See, Gorichrio, that's a good drawing."

all three of the friends stare blankly at Inosuke.

"Who's that?" Asks Muichiro, as he sincerely has no idea it was his name stated.

"You of course! what're you? Deaf?"

Tanjiro places his sheet of paper on his desk and looks Inosuke in the eyes.

"His name is Muichiro, not 'Gorichrio'"

"That's what I said! Muiterito!"

"No," Tanjiro lifts his hands and points to his lips, "Mu-i-chir-o. Say it with me." Tanjiro pauses.

Both Inosuke and Tanjiro say, "Mu-i-chir-o" Tanjiro claps, "Good job! Now say it on your own."

"Juichiro"

The redhead sighs and leans back in his chair.

"Inosuke, you done with my picture?" Genya breaks the small silence.

"Oh right! I forgot about that! Yeah I did, here ya go." Inosuke picks his paper up and shows it to his partner.

"Dude that stinks!" Genya says in absolute disbelief. "You said you're good at drawing!"

Inosuke stands up, "That is good!"

"Not as good as Tanjiro's" Genya rolls his eyes.

Inosuke's eye twitches. He's really pissed for some reason, usually someone telling him he's not as good as someone he just sizes them up, but for some reason he feels like he can't do that to Tanjiro.

"WAAAHHHH" Wailing, loud wailing. It's Zenitsu, I mean who else would it be?

Arts officially over.

Everyone starts picking up their mess and puts it away. Except for Inosuke, he just leaves. Everyone's pretty mad at him, but Tanjiro excuses it as he's never been to a public school.

After everyone is done Mr Uzui let's them leave.
