Romancing An Era

Part 8

Its already night and we are sitting at the royal chair for food and even I don't want to admit but I have to say that they made delicious food it's actually really savouring.

" You both decided to stay hmm" the king asked breaking the silence.

" Yeah, we are very grateful to you and the queen that you allowed us to stay here" Alonzo smiled .

" Of course, you deserve as you have given a very good service to me and I am looking forward for more " she said in her husky voice.

I was shocked that she can really act this way infront of her man and he don't even say anything.

Skip time after lunch

I don't know where the hell he is ?? He was the one who said he wants to plan our next move and now he is the one who is late. I am pretty sure he must be with that queen flirting with her.

" Uggh enough now! I will find my own way. I don't need him anyway and once I will find that book , I will be the one that will take it because clearly it was me who found it first"

I stormed out of the room and started exploring the palace. " It must not be that easy " I thought to myself and stopped in the middle to think if I can do anything about this. Wait! Why I don't get the map that Alonzo was talking about! This idea clicked my mind and I ran towards my room , I saw Alonzo has not yet arrived. Good for me I started to look inside his bag and I found that map, it was a bit crippled , I opened it and found the pathways.

Hmm I have to follow these following pathways then I will get there. I started exploring the castle but made sure not to get caught by the guards that were there all around. I stopped in front of the wall , what?!

How is this possible,  in map it is showing to go forward but it's a wall might have gone to the wrong path. I was thinking on my own not until I heard some guards talking and voice becoming louder and louder at each passing seconds.

I hid behind the curtain " how can I know man?" One of the guard said. " But aren't you favourite of your mom? You must know"

" Favourite of my mom? You got to be kidding me whenever I step outside the door she thinks I am going to do a crime and when I stay at home she calls me useless for sure she will be happy If I die " they both laughed at their malicious jokes.

" You sure will die by the hands of the queen if you don't guard properly" one of the guard said laughing more.

" Yes let's go " I tried to peek through the curtain to see where they were going they tapped the wall 5 times and the wall slid?! . They got inside and I came outside .

Really? So it was a secret chamber? Wow fantastic! Now I will just go to find that book! Yes! I squealed happily. But I should also take sword to protect myself as I know there will be a lot of guards for protection too.

I tapped 5 times on the wall and it opened with a loud sliding sound.

I got inside and atleast I am glad that there were some arrangements for the lightning it was not too bright but atleast I can see something from here.

I took one of the lamp that was hanging on the wall and moved forward , there were guards on the further entrance. It means I have to kill themselves first to go inside.

I hid behind the wall and was thinking and I saw a some stone in the nearby water. I took one of it and threw it into other direction , I peeked and saw both of the guards coming in my direction. I slowly came out as they were completely gone and ran on the entrance.

"Uff! That was a close one " I catched my breath and then moved forward carefully. In map it is written that inside the lonely room there will be a piece of prize that will lead to heaven . Honestly I don't understand the true meaning of it- it is written inside the lonely room so is this possible that book might me somewhere in the lonely room here? Might be?

I moved forward and entered into crossroad I was standing in Between. It was dead silent all I can hear is water dripping out from the ceilings. The map just ends here and I looked around and found one jail .

I walked closer to that jail and saw there were not lights in that jail?huh? The most important book in the dark jail ? and it's lonely too. It means sure be here.

I tried to open the lock with my clip but of course it will not open , it was quite complex the lock was not ordinary. Lock looked like a dragon in appearance and it seems to open the lock I have to put the dragon tail because that's the only thing that was missing.

I came back to reality when I heard some sounds of chains moving inside the jail I tried to look closely with help of lamp not untill there was  ugly hands wrapped around the piles of jail. I gasped.

" So you finally came" I herad old man speaking, I tried to look again closely with the help of lamp even though I cannot see him whole properly because of the lamp going dull but I can still see his green eyes that intensely staring at me.

" Who are you and what are you doing here?" I asked tried to not look scared.

" There not much time but i will tell you to free me "

" Free y...." I stopped talking as I heard several guards voice coming from behind.

Was it something I was not meant to discover?
