The Surprised

Chapter 2: intoxicating

It had been 2 days since Hiroshi met with Kratos, Atreus, and Mimir. Atreus and Mimir had been asking many questions she didn't know how to answer. Kratos on the other hand just watched Hiroshi. He didn't want to admit it but she entertained him. Her laughter filled the silence the three got used to. Kratos noticed how happy Atreus had been since she came with them. It was clear she had many things to hide, especially about her past and where she came from.

Kratos looks up hearing a pair of fast footsteps and loud laughs. As the door opened Atreus laughed and Hiroshi soaked wet holding a fish with a smug look on their face.
"Kratos! I caught a fish!" Hiroshi runs over holding it out like no one else knew what it was.
"It's still alive." That was all he said. He didn't seem interested or impressed.
"I know. I couldn't kill it I have the knife but..yeah." Hiroshi slowly lowered her hands with a soft smile on her lips. "That's why I'm wet I dove into the lake to catch it with my own hands and not kill it."
"You are only hurting it more." Kratos shook his head taking the fish. "You will not last much longer if you can't kill a simple fish."
"I know…but I also don't know how to do it. I don't know how to fight I can cook but only dead things. I've skinned a few animals." Hiroshi didn't seem upset by his words only smiled more. "Would you teach me? I mean in pretty strong for a human I've worked out less then I would where I come from tho. Maybe I can show you some of things I do. But I'll have to make my own things."
Kratos only listened as she spoke. Her rambling of her world was interesting, so many things he didn't know. Turning his head to watch her walk around. He had noticed Atreus had left with mimir leaving him and Hiroshi alone. He noticed how think the clothes she had on were now they were wet, it was easy for him to see everything her clothes covered. Setting the fish on a plate he stood.
Turing her head Hiroshi noticed his stare. "Was I talking to much?" All he did was grunt in response. She shivered under his gaze. "Well sir ima going to go get some fish."
"It would take you all day just to get two." Walking to a corner Kratos grabbed a spear , arrows, and a bow. "I will teach you."
"Really!? Thank you!" Hiroshi run around the room before running out laughing.
He had no reason to teach her. She was only smiles and laughter, she wouldn't last a day alone. But he couldn't help but feel a little less tense
