DESTINY was sat in an uber next to DEE, the two had left the party once they hadn't heard anymore gun shots. DESTINY heard his phone ring, before he picked it up, "what's good, my heart?"
she wasn't trying to listen to his call, but he was speaking rather loudly. "yeah, im with her, she good."
this caused her to turn her head, she was now wondering who he was talking to and why they had asked about her. she tried to mouth 'who is it?' but he only told her to wait, by putting a finger up.
"nah, party got shot up, but we good." she continued to listen to him speak, watching as his facial expression changed from just a resting face to a kind of shocked one, to a smirk.
"ight, safety." he spoke, before hanging up and turning to DESTINY. "notti said answer ya phone."
destiny furrowed her eyebrows, finding that very hypocritical. but nonetheless, she turned on her phone and went to their messages to see what he had said.
NOTTI, who had still been sitting on the steps of her home, decided to wait until she got home so they could speak in person. he was annoyed with the fact she had been at a party in general, but the fact she had went basically alone made it worse. the thoughts going through his mind were, what is dee wasn't there when the shots went off? what if she would've gotten shot? i should've been there.
he waited a little while, becoming annoyed with how long it was taking her to get home. he wouldn't have waited this long for anyone else, but he liked her, he couldn't deny that.
finally, a car pulled up and the door opened, with DESTINY and DEE getting out. DEE walked up to NOTTI, with DESTINY strolling behind. she watched as they dapped each other up, exchanging a few words before DEE told NOTTI he was going home, waved bye to her, and walked off.
"hi." DESTINY spoke, making NOTTI shake his head, followed by a chuckle.
"you mad at me?" he asked.
she shrugged, "i was."
"i told you i was gon be busy, my heart." he wrapped his hands around her, pulling her into a hug.
DESTINY smiled into the hug, wrapping her hands around his waist. she told him that she felt like he was avoiding her, due to the fact his friends, that were with him, had answered and he hadn't.
he understood why she felt the way she did, and explained why he didn't answer her.
DESTINY liked how they were communicating, it made her believe that if they did end up becoming more than friends, it would be a healthy relationship.
"nah but, why'd you go to a party for?" he furrowed his eyebrows, mugging her.
she laughed, ignoring the question and walking up to her front door. once she reached the door, she fished out her key and unlocked it, turning to him again. he was just watched her, making her chuckle. "you coming or you going home?"
NOTTIS eyebrows raised, "you for real?"
she nodded, opening her door. he quickly walked to her, stepping in her house quietly after her. "i can be in here?" NOTTI asked, making DESTINY quickly put her hand over his mouth and then grab onto his hand, pulling him all the way to her room and then closing the door.
"ooo, you sneakin me in and shit now." ETHAN smirked, going over to her bed and throwing himself down.
"yeah, so don't be loud." DESTINY mugged, walking to get a change of clothes.
"ion like how you avoided my question, just sayin." he told her, watching as she headed for her bathroom that was connected with her room.
"i wasn't avoiding it." she shrugged, closing the bathroom door.
NOTTI rolled his eyes, knowing he was going to continue to ask her about it until she said something. he waited patiently for her to come out of the bathroom, taking off his shoes and getting more comfortable on her bed. he looked around her room, seeing she had some polaroid pictures hung up on her mirror and around it. there was some of her and MADDY, and some of her and her mom. NOTTI decided that he wanted to be hung up on her wall, and would remind himself to take a polaroid picture with her some time.
the bathroom door opened, revealing DESTINY now changed. she walked over to put her clothes in her dirty clothes basket, before sitting on her bed next to NOTTI. she glanced at him, she could tell he was waiting for her to speak about the party.
"you go with a boy or somethin?" he finally asked what he had actually wanted to ask, making her look at him like he was stupid.
"no." she rolled her eyes, "i just got invited, and i was bored."
he nodded, feeling a little relieved. she paused, "cblu was there, he talked to me."
NOTTIS face scrunched, "the fuck? what he say?"
"he asked what my name was." she told him.
they talked more about the party, before changing the conversation to something different. DESTINY laid her head on NOTTIS shoulder, feeling herself get more tired by them speaking to each other. she liked his voice, it was soothing in some way.
he played with her hand, making her more tired. "i could take you on that date, tomorrow." he whispered due to her head being close to his.
she smiled, "okay." she spoke in the same tone he had.
