Chapter Three ::: Pack Mentality

The Scoobies and people in the control room came filing out, Giles happy to see Amelia Bones when he got out of the tunnel and he definitely wanted answers. How did Finnie even know they were under attack? Amelia's answer was 'Master Secura told her'. And it was something the Scoobies seemed to immediately accept.

Group One headed toward the Slayer's Dorms first, catching up at the right time to keep Group Three from taking hits they wouldn't have survived. They led the Slayers and staff down the escape tunnel and out the exit, before heading back in and regrouping with Finnie and Group Three. So they could head toward the front inner courtyard. Finnie had faith in the library group, she just wanted to make sure they had some hard hitters when they headed for the library. But, part way there, she paused when she realized something. They were firing to kill, they weren't here for the girls...

"FUCK!" She bellowed, "they aren't here for the Scoobies, they want the Slayer's Scythe!"

She turned on her heel, bolting straight toward where Dawn told her Buffy had a habit of hiding the Scythe. Which was coincidentally just underneath the library. So, when she blasted a hole in the floor...with a little help from Lucius and Draco. It fell in, taking every single Death Eater standing on the spot (which was the survivors of the group attacking the library) with it and killing them. She used the opportunity to force-jump up into the room, the Scythe on her back, and looked at Group Four and those in the library.

"So," Finnie chuckled, "who wants to blow this popsicle stand? We have already cleared the courtyard, Slayer's Dorm and the control room..."

She looked down the hole at Draco.

"Two and Three went to clear the Watchers' dorms," Draco called up to her, "apparently Illyria is good at tracking the scent of Focals."

Finnie laughed, "Gotta love a pack mentality, Dray," she grinned before turning to Group Four, "let's kick some shit, while the others find their way down the tunnel. It's 100 percent secured in all intersecting points that could head off the exit plan."

The Watchers in the room nodded, before ushering the 'children' out of the room through the hole in the floor. The path out is lit up by layers of simple spells...shields and illumination orbs. That left Finnie and the others to head en-masse to the Watchers' Dorms.

"Kennedy!" Willow was happy to see her wife as she exited with the group from the library, hugging her before stepping back, "where Infinity and the others?"

Kennedy chuckled, "The Littlest Kendall and her groupies are headed for the Watchers' Dorms next. I think they are going to clear the entire building. They are also laying down a fully secured exit path as they go."

This made Amelia chuckle, as that was exactly Finnie's plan. Even if the exit plan turned out like the world's proverbially longest human sized hamster tunnel..and the most complicated as they exited from the front door of the library to head toward the other dorms.

"That's Finnie for ya," Dawn chuckled, "as bat shit crazy as Xander and Jesse combined with all the subtlety of Harmony and Buffy...which is none. If she wants it done, it'll be done no matter who she has to pull. And these people," she gestured to the Ministry and ICW people, "came running because she asked. I don't know how she asked them, but she managed to literally pull an army to save us from people who escaped her and them," again gesturing to the Focal Witches and Wizards, "only a week ago."

The witches and hunters from the library had followed them, taking their lead as they went. The witches ensured that the tunnel path was truly secure from the attacking Focals, while the Hunters split between covering them and Finnie's people...as Finnie seemed to have her own unique sort of protection. In the form of Aayla and the Malfoy men.
