Chapter 5

Now I know exactly why so many pupils here complained about History. The only thing that kept me going, was the fact I was sat beside Louis. But it was also very... distracting. Mrs Roe kept getting me in trouble for daydreaming, or not listening. The reason was, Louis smelt, and looked, truly irresistable. I mean, his beauty hurts. That can't be right.

So of course, this resulted with me sitting in detention, with Louis beside me, once again. Great. Don't get me wrong, Louis is an amazing friend and he's fun to hang out with, and look at. But sometimes, he's just looks so hot, it frustrates me.

We wheren't aloud to talk, which was annoying and boring, but the minute Mrs Roe left for the toilet, Louis' jaw oppened. "And this is why you shouldn't daydream in class!"

I burst out laughing and nodded my head. "I've learned my lesson!"

"Good." He smiled. "Who where you daydreaming about anyway?"

I could feel the blush creep onto my cheeks. I had to stop these inapropriate thoughts.

LOUIS IS STRAIGHT AND HAS A GIRLFRIEND!

It's not fair on anyone if I like him. But the trouble is... well... how can you not like him?

"Was it me?" Louis wiggled his eyebrows and licked his lip jockingly.

My breath hitched in my throat for a minute, and I chocked on air. As much as a joke that was to him, it was all real to me. And the way he licked his lips suggestivlingly...

"What!" I cracked a forced laugh. "No way!"

Hurt flashed through Louis' eyes. I blinked twice to wake myself up. No way. Why would Louis be hurt that I wasn't daydreaming about him? I must be going crazy.

"Oh. Ok." He mumbled, no humour in his voice at all, something that rarely happened.

I sat staring at the clock as a few minutes flew by like seconds, before Louis spoke again.

"So curly," He began. "What do you want to do when you leave school?"

I didn't have to think twice about that one. "A singer." I smiled. "You?"

His eyebrows raised a little, and his eyes showed full interest. "Really? You sing?"

I nodded. "Yeah. I'm not very good though."

"I doubt that." Louis mumbled, causing me to blush again.

Harold! Stop with the girly blushing!

"I want to be an English teacher." He said proudly.

Now it was my turn to be surprised, as my eyebrows shot up in shock. "You do?"

"Yep." Louis said, popping the p. "Can I tell you something?"

"Anything." I said, giving him a warm smile. He returned it, making a hot, bubbly feeling appear in the pit of my stomach.

"I've already been offered a job at a school!" He squealed.

I could hear my heart beat in my ear. Had I heard correctly? No. I had only just met Louis, and had fallen for him quickly. He couldn't leave. Not now. I needed distractions from all that was going on! I needed a friend I could talk to easily. Sure I had Niall, but I felt like Louis could understand me more than anyone else could. I felt close to him, and we had hardly talked.

"So you're... leaving school?" I gulped.

"Yes! In just a week actually!"

You know when people say "the whole world is crumbling down" on you? I always thought that was a stupid thing to say. But now I know why they use it. I was having that feeling right now. I just felt like I could crawl in a hole and die. Louis was leaving in a week. A week.
