We've been in this place for two days and although it's better then outside the walls. I just can't shake off the feeling that things aren't right. But we've been given clothes, food, water and walls to protect us from walkers. We had to turn in our weapons, not my favorite idea but I get it. Then they gave them back so that was a plus.
But things weren't right, things were wrong. I blink snapping out of my delusion as I try to avoid reality, Hayden rubs my back as I groan looking around the box were inside and I hear gunfire and yells. "Were going to be alright, I promise." Hayden says and she kisses me softly I stand up and hold my chest, which is bruised. Ghost snarls as a light shines and we stand to see who is in the shadows with us.
Glenn walks ahead, "Rick?" He says and we all walk towards him in shock. "You're here, you're here and you have a dog." He says seriously and then with a joke of relief. I see Michonne, Daryl and Carl behind him, I let out a sigh. He looks at the others, Tara, Rosita, Eugene and Abraham. He gives them a look of judgment. "They're our friends. They helped save us." Maggie says, "Now they're friends of ours." Daryl says accepting them.
I tilt up my chin and look at them, they're real this is real. "They're gonna feel pretty stupid when they find out." Rick says and Abraham chimes in, Rick gives us a look and a head tilt. "They're screwing with the wrong people." He chuckles and rage turns inside me, these assholes will get what they deserve.
Season Five
Abraham explains how we got here and Daryl tells us Beth is alive but was kidnaped. The people outside argue as we make weapons out of what we have. "Grace, can that dog fight?" Rick asks me and Ellie gives me a look of concern, "Yeah killed a walker without one scratch." I say and Ellie turns away from me rolling her eyes.
"All right, got four of them pricks coming our way." Daryl says and I crack my fingers as I get my knife ready. They took them they took my kids, the twins and the babies. "I'm gonna kill every single one of them. They have my children." I whisper and Hayden tries to calm me down, "Y'all know what to do. Go for their eyes first. Then their throats." Rick says as we prepare and I look at Blake and Ellie, be safe I mouth to them and they nod.
"Put your backs to the walls on either side of the car now." A guard says and I smirk to myself, but then the top of the car opens and I look up and a gas bomb is dropped. "Move," Abraham screams and we run away from it, we all cough and the door opens. Then it goes dark and I pass out with no recollection of what's happened or what will happen to us.
I look around and Hayden helps me stand, I hear guns fire and the ground shakes. "No, no I need to find my kids." I yell pounding on the door to the car, "What the hell is going on?" Abraham asks and we all mutter and talk over each other. Eugene crouches down by the door, "What the hell are you doing?" Rosita asks and he mutters words I can't comprehend in the moment.
Tara speaks for all of us when she says, "Eugene I'm sorry but shut up." Rick, Daryl, Bob and Glenn are gone and we need to find them and my kids and get out of here. "Hey my dad's gonna be back. They all are." Carl says and Maggie tries to calm us down. "Say that to my five year olds, one year old and infant." I say in distress and she gives me a calming look. "They all are." She repeats and I sigh, "We need to get ready to fight our way out with them when they do." Maggie finishes and I sit down on the floor rubbing my head.
She's right, I stand up when I hear screams and growls. Shit, shit "We need to get out of here." I grumble hurrying beside Michonne at the door. I see smoke, and walkers everywhere I burst into tears and Michonne covers my mouth. "Grace get yourself together, now." She demands and I nod in agreement and she lets me go.
Hands scrap against the door to the car, I push my head against the wall. They talk but all I hear is sound no words, no voices, nothing, great I'm going crazy. The door slams open and I look to see Rick, "Come on! Fight to the fence!" He yells and Ghost growls and Rick shoots, beside him I see the twins. My mouth drops open in relief and they run to me. "Mommy, mommy." They say happily and I hug them tightly, I pick them up and hold them close. We run down and escape Hayden covers me and I look at Rick. "Thank you." I say over the gunfire and growling. I don't know where Lucy and Teddy are but I need to find them.
"Go, go, go!" Rick yells to us after giving me a nod and we hurry off I run after Rosita and Hayden stabs a walker beside us. Ghost barks and I see him rip one's neck open, Blake and Ellie stay close as they stab and kill the walkers. We run and fight, we get to the fence and Rosita yells for us go up and over.
Hayden crawls over and I hand here the twins and then I follow after picking up Ghost and helping him over. I get over the fence, we all do and we escape to the woods. "I have to go back." I demand breaking the silence and Daryl and Rick dig in the ground. "Go along the fences, use the rifles. Take out the rest of 'em. They don't get to live. It's not over till they're dead." Rick says as he digs in the dirt, "Then we'll find my kids right?" I ask in a stern tone and he gives me a look. The look that says finding the twins would be a miracle, they're gone.
"No, no. No! You're gonna prioritize killing these people who are already dead over my children! That's bullshit Rick!" I yell at him and Hayden grabs me as I flare my arms in anger she holds me trying to calm me down. "That place is on fire. Full of walkers." Rosita yells at Rick and everyone gets enraged. "The fences are down they'll run or die." Maggie says and my heart races and I grind my teeth grabbing a gun from Ricks stash.
"I'm going inside there and I'm finding my kids." I say and I storm off from everyone back towards Terminus. "The hell you are!" Rick yells back and I flip him off but then everyone goes silent and then I hear a cry, a baby cry. I turn and see Carol, she has our weapons, she has Lucy. I drop the gun and run towards her, she gives me the babies and Daryl runs to hug her. I look at her as tears form in my eyes and hug her with Daryl. Everyone walks over in astonishment, Rick hugs her and she gives me a smile. "You found her, where's Teddy?" I ask and she gives Rick and I looks.
"You have to come with me." She says and we all follow her to a shack I see a person with two babies. It's Tyreese, he has Judith and Teddy they're alive, Rick runs towards him and I run after. He grabs his daughter and I grab my son in complete joy. Blake and Ellie with Lucy and the twins run after me and we all hug each other tightly. I look over at Rick, Carl, Judith, Tyreese and Sasha. I fall to the ground and Hayden comes over and hugs us.
We all stay by the cabin and the babies cry, "Yeah we need to go." Rick says and Maggie hands me Teddy, I look around and at the cloud of smoke. The fire is still burning and more walkers are likely on their way. "Where?" Daryl asks and Ricks rubs his hands, "Somewhere far away from there." He says and we grab our things following Glenn onto the train tracks. We have nowhere to go but we have each other and that's all we need.
