Jungkook sighed and opened the door of his car and sat in the car. He closed the door of his car and looked at his friend who was looking at him as if warning him to go to the therapist for real this time.

"Don't give me that look, Hyung. I am going to the therapist for real this time. Trust me."
Jungkook said looking at his friend who still didn't look convinced.

"I would have trusted you if you would have gone there the first time I set up an appointment for you," Jin said irritated by the younger's previous actions.

"I just didn't want to waste my time on these therapies. I know this is not gonna help me." Jungkook said looking at the elder.

Jin glared at him "But, I'll go this time, partly because you set up this appointment for me and partly because no matter how much I'm depressed at this moment I still don't wanna be murdered by you." Jungkook said the last part in a small voice.

He was just trying to make Jin less angry by going to the therapist. The last time Jin set up an appointment for him, he didn't want to go, so he decided not to attend. Later when Jin asked him if he was going to therapy he lied to him by saying he was going. But of course, the elder had to find out sooner or later. When he checked in the clinic to ask about his friend's progress, he immediately got to know about the younger's shenanigans. He was furious at the younger because he was worried for him.

Jungkook has been in depression for almost 3 months and it was very obvious that it was because of his ex-girlfriend who decided to play with his feelings. You see, Jungkook was a 21-year-old who had everything a person could ask for. When he was younger, he wanted to become an idol. But after growing up he grew out of it. When he was in high school he wanted to become an artist. He was pretty good at painting and sketching. So, he decided to achieve a major in art from a higher education institution, more precisely, the Korean National University of Arts.

But life had other plans. He fell in love with Kang Seong-Min. Kang Seong-Min was the popular girl in his high school. She was sweet and caring and everything he thought love was.

Seong-Min fell for Jungkook first. They started hanging out in the same group. Then they got to talking and Seong-Min caught feelings for Jungkook. She confessed and Jungkook also said he liked her. They dated for 5 years and Jungkook loved her more than anything. He would sacrifice anything for her. That's how much he loved her.

After all, it was his first love. At some point, We all were weak for our first love, weren't we?

After high school, Jungkook decided to go to the same college as Seong-Min. He still wanted to pursue his desired career. But of course, it wasn't more important than his love. After 5 years of being together, 5 years of Jungkook giving her everything a girl could ask for. What did he get in return? Nothing but betrayal.

After 4 years of their dating, Jungkook started noticing Seong-Min changing. At first, he thought maybe it was because they were growing up. But then it wasn't just changing, it was like she was becoming a whole different person. Not the person he fell in love with. He would often ask her to spend time together but she was always busy. Even after taking up the same course as Seong-Min, She didn't have time for him. She started hanging out with a different group of people. Jungkook wouldn't exactly describe them as good people. They were kind of mean. They used to bully other people. Jungkook did not know why did Seong-Min started hanging out with them. She wasn't like before. She wasn't the girl Jungkook used to know. She used to stay out late with her friends. And sometimes Jungkook missed her so he would even ask if he could tag along. Even if he didn't like those people, he was ready to do anything for her. Even if it meant hanging out with those losers. But whenever he'd ask him she always said 'I want to spend time with my friends.'
Jungkook always thought that it was nothing but Seong-Min wanting to spend time with her friends. Because he didn't want to beleive that his girlfriend could do anything wrong. He beleived that she could ever hurt him.

As time went by, things started changing more and more. Jungkook was getting ready for Seong-Min's birthday party, three months in advance. But on his own birthday, Seong-Min completely forgot. Hoping for a surprise, Jungkook came back to the dorm late at night, but what he found was not what he expected at all. He caught Seong-Min cheating on him, right there in their shared dorm room, on his bed, with one of the guys she had been hanging out with. It hit him like a ton of bricks.

Jungkook felt a whirlwind of emotions all at once. He didn't even know what he was feeling exactly. It was shock, anger, disappointment, betrayal, disgust, and a whole lot of hurt. He couldn't comprehend it. He left the room and slammed the door behind him, walking quickly toward the exit. Seong-Min followed, trying to stop him.

"Jungkook, please stop," Seong-Min pleaded, but Jungkook kept walking. Seong-Min caught up to him and grabbed his arm. He stopped and looked at her.

"Why?" Jungkook asked in a broken voice.
"It just happened. I didn't mean to cheat on you," Seong-Min said quietly.

"Doesn't matter if it was intentional or not, Seong-Min. I loved you and did everything for you. I even came to this college for you, even though I didn't want to. And what do you do? You cheat on me on my birthday, in my own bed," Jungkook blurted out, pouring out his thoughts and emotions.

Seong-Min's eyes widened, realizing it was indeed his birthday. She looked at him with a guilty expression. "I'm so sorry," she said, tears welling up in her eyes.

"Sorry won't change anything. The bottom line is you cheated on me," Jungkook stated firmly, and he walked away, needing to protect his own sanity.

Jungkook spent the whole night crying. He thought he could handle it, that he was strong. But the image of Seong-Min with that guy on his bed kept flashing in his mind. The memories of their good times together were tainted. It hit him hard, and all he wanted to do was stay in bed and wallow in his sadness.

Since then, he has been battling depression. It's the kind where he doesn't want to get out of bed, spending the whole day feeling down and defeated.

That's why his friends wanted him to go to a therapist. Yoongi suggested a therapist to Jin for Jungkook. He said he was one of the best therapists in Seoul. And he knew him because that therapist was his boyfriend's best friend.
Jin sighed and said, "I'm doing it for you only Kookie." Jungkook nodded and said "I know Hyung, I'm going this time. I promise."

Jin nodded "Okay then. You should go now."
"I'll see you later," Jungkook said and rolled up the glass window. He started driving to the therapist thinking about how pointless all of this was.
