As the first day of class began the Wanderer's thoughts were actually incorrect about the girl. She was. . . .smart? And not in a stuck up way. . . in a way where she actually understood the things she said and was passionate about it. The way she used her words to answer questions or add on to her classmates comments were quite unique. He was almost interested in what she had to say.

He couldn't bring himself to accept that even if it was true. Maybe it was the fact that she seemed so cheerful and actually enjoyed what she was doing. Was he jealous? No, he didn't get jealous. Maybe he was just annoyed. Hmm, no, it wasn't that either. The wanderer was often annoyed so he could at least recognize that. He couldn't understand it so he just ignored this bothersome feeling.

As class began to end and y/n packed her things, she walked up to the boy.

"Hello again! I forgot to ask you what your name was," she called out to him.

He slowed his walk and turned to fully face her. He tried his best not to roll his eyes at the girl who would not give up on trying to be friendly with him.

"Why does it matter?" he responded. She looked unfazed though.

"Well, I do try to get to know all of my peers."

He sighed then began, "Just call me Wanderer, I suppose."

"Wanderer! That's unique! I like it. My name is y/n."

He was confused as to how she was keeping up with his fast pace. It was clear he did not want to continue this conversation, but she did not mind. So he stopped to look at her and she stopped to look at him with that sweet smile that he did not like.

"So, how about you tell me more about why you wanted to join the Akademiya?" She picked up the conversation noticing his lack of enthusiasm.

"It's not like I really wanted to come here, it was recommended to me by someone so here I am."

He began to walk again, and she followed after him.

"It looks like that person means a lot to you then for you to agree!"

He looked at her with confusion

. . . . . .silence

"What?" He finally spoke.

She quickly responded already knowing what his answer would be. "Well, no offense, but it is pretty obvious that you don't exactly. . . . enjoy this place? That person must be important to you for you to listen to them." Then she ended her sentence with that sweet smile he was starting to really hate.

He was the kind of person who didn't care how long the silence was between a conversation, whether it was awkward or not. So he didn't say anything again. He just thought about what she said and that she was probably right. Even though he hated to admit it, she could catch on to people quite well. Her observation skills were almost as good as his.

𝙖𝙡𝙢𝙤𝙨𝙩. He reassured himself once again.

She just walked on with him in the silence, not really sure where they were going.

"I hardly know the person really, I just felt like accepting the offer."

She nodded and replied, "If you say so! I think that you might just be telling yourself that though. Anyway, I should probably be headed to the gardening area for my next class."

She stopped walking and so did he this time. He was very annoyed with how easily she changed the subject as if it was unimportant. He analyzed her expression with a frown. No smile this time, but she still looked genuine. Then he realized something. The way she responded with ease was almost similar to him.

𝙖𝙡𝙢𝙤𝙨𝙩.

And how he had a sharp tongue. But, she did not. She talked very smooth and kindly even though the words spoken were a way of her giving honest truth and realty. Almost the same way he would reply to people.

𝙖𝙡𝙢𝙤𝙨𝙩.

He found it odd how two very different people could  acquire similar attributes. Similar but almost far apart.

𝙖𝙡𝙢𝙤𝙨𝙩.

"I'll see you tomorrow Wanderer!" She waved goodbye and as she turned, he noticed the dendro vision attached to the waist band of her belt. It made sense why she would have a gardening class, and why she had such a pursuit for knowledge. He did not reply back to her goodbye and instead headed forward. He was almost frustrated with the smart girl
