➳Venti
The bluenette's drink sways precariously in his hand as he raised it high in the air. "Anot-*hic*-another one, please!" he slurs, his speech unintelligible.
You take a deep breath and snatch the drink out of his hand, "That's enough," you intone, your voice carrying an air of authority. "How are you suppose to sober up if you keep drinking."
What was initially promised to be a rejuvenating day off from work had swiftly devolved into an impromptu, unpaid internship as a caretaker, as you now had to tend to a drunk Venti after spotting him utterly wasted at a local beer shop in the mall. Despite the urge to ignore his plight and go about your day, you instead took charge, firmly escorting him from the store and onto the tranquil garden rooftop of the mall, determined to help him sober up and recover from his indulgence.
As you stepped onto the garden rooftop, the first thing that caught your eye was the intricate wooden flooring, which gives the space a warm and inviting feel. The rich, dark wood perfectly complemented the lush greenery that surrounds you, and you couldn't help but feel at ease as you take in your surroundings. Towering trees and lush vines drape down from above, creating a natural canopy that provides just the right amount of shade. The air is fresh and fragrant, filled with the sweet scent of blooming flowers and fresh foliage. It was the perfect locale for a moment of respite.
Carefully, you settled Venti onto one of the plush couches and situate yourself alongside him, ensuring that your presence did not draw any unwanted attention. To your relief it seemed the holiday worked in your favor as the bustling crowds of vacationers were too preoccupied to take note of a seemingly suspicious individual escorting an inebriated idol out of a store. Even the typically busy rooftop now hosted only a handful of guests, lending an air of tranquility to the surroundings.
"I can't believe he still managed to sneak in a whole bottle before I carried him out here." You internally facepalm yourself, shaking your head in disbelief.
The drunkard starts tittering uncontrollably. "Hehe, Y/NNN~" he coos, his hand reaching out to caress your hair. "You're so prettyyyy *hic* and *hic* cute," He continues, his words becoming increasingly nonsensical. "What a pretty mana- *hic* manager I have, Manager Y/N... My Y/N."
Your face instantly turns red at his words, and you quickly smack his hand away from your hair. "Okay, that's enough," you say firmly, trying to keep your voice level. You let out a defeated sigh. "We need to figure out how to sober you up, and by 'we', I mean 'me'."
As with all of how his other antics start, a sudden whim strikes him, and he carelessly flops down onto you, his head nestling comfortably on your lap. "Y/N... you're so... *yawn* warm," he murmurs sleepily, his eyelids drooping shut.
"Venti?!" you exclaim, your heart racing with uncertainty. "Oh, for the Archon's sake," you inwardly groan, questioning whether you should have just left him alone in that beer-sodden store. Perhaps if you had taken a different path, you could have been curled up on your couch at home, binge-watching a show after a lovely day at the mall.
"But still..." you ponder, unable to shake off the warmth blossoming in your chest. It's a feeling you're unfamiliar with, one that assures you that despite the chaos and exhaustion,
It's all worth it in the end.
